Re: Move tracks with blocks from one reason project to another

You have the option to right click on a block/multiple blocks and select 'Convert Block Clips to Song Clips' which put all the data back in the standard sequencer or you can copy the blocks from one track to another without too much fuss. As far as the best way to approach it, that's up to you. You ...

Re: Graphics Card

There's gpu.audio making vst's that run on a gpu, they have 3 products so far, I think you can live without them for now.
CPU and RAM are much more important to a DAW machine.

Re: Reason 10 To Reason 12

If you click on 'show details' under reason 12 it should show you if you have used an upgrade path to get to it, there should should find the licence key for reason 10 that is linked to your account. If you don't have details of your upgrade path there you might find other clues about what's happene...

Re: You know what the whole problem is nowadays about making music?

I had a great time once deciding that the default answer was 26. Any value I came across that I felt like changing I set to 26. It wasn't a hard and fast rule but it gave me a starting point. Wasn't bored because sometimes I would stubbornly choose to make it work some how and that gave me a challen...

Re: Looks like Reason Studios have redesigned their site...

I felt I should my voice my opinion to represent the silent majority. It's fine, whatever, as long as it does the job. I used to care about what was cool and edgy but now I just like things that work and don't take up too much of my time. As a website it remains functional so whatever.

Re: Subtractor/Maelstrom preset ID

Probably making a massive assumption but especially back in Reason 3 days the presets were just a starting point. Combinators were the big new thing and chances are whatever was loaded in didn't get saved that way.

Re: Color in Recycle and Make it Free

I remember when Recycle got its first gui overhaul. Had it then , didn't use it much, don't use it now. The only sort of person I imagine would consider this to be an essential tool would be people who are really into making Rex loop sample packs for sale as refills. I'm willing to bet there are les...

Re: Custom Studio Cables

Sounds like you've made up your mind and the 10 Van Damme Colours aren't to your liking. I'm glad you could get whatever it was you were bothered about off your chest but I'm a bit confused about what information you're actually seeking here. If you're using a balanced configuration you'll need 3 co...

Re: Latency requires breakout box audio card?

Yeah. ASIO Compliant audio interface is a pretty standard requirement for any DAW. This is pretty much due to Microsoft sleeping on it for years so it's not a standard Windows feature. Welcome the rabbit hole. There's plenty of advise around for the interface and speakers so I'll not get started on ...

Re: How can I minimize latency?

Those USB-MIDI cables generally suck, I had a midiman midisport 4x4 for a while and that was much better, but better still would be to buy an audio interface that has midi ports built in. Latency is probably due to you not using a dedicated audio interface, you don't mention it but that's what I'm g...

Re: Loaded Instruments with zero volume

I get this sort of thing when importing midi files, a lot of the time there is some automation data that seems not to be correctly importing and it sets device levels to zero. Quite often any drum tracks will have solo tracks on a kong that need removing, Europa's first sound generator often gets au...
