Re: Announcing Reason 13
Microsoft also decides how long you can use hardware -- Windows 11 dropped support for several older machines lacking more modern features. This is no different. It's objectively different. M series is a completely different architecture . It broke compatibility. All hell broke loose with its relea...

Re: Seeking solutions from fellow beatmakers
You could use LoopBE and use a software MIDI filter.huggermugger wrote: ↑YesterdayJust filter out the pitch bend info...Oh wait, it's Reason you're talking about. They're working on Reason's MIDI integration, but since MIDI is so new, it might take a while. R17 maybe?

Re: Seeking solutions from fellow beatmakers
In the meantime, assign the janky knob/dial/fader to something else so that it's not captured by the instrument you're playing/recording with.

Re: Life after Rewire
IIRC Reaper can run as a ReWire client. It's a bit of a stretch, but you could export your Reason tracks to MIDI, put them in a Reaper file, and then make an RRP patch for each instrument (assuming you have complex tempo changes and whatnot). If you can easily match the tempo and its changes in Reas...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
Some of us probably shouldn't be getting to excited because we don't even know what the minimum requirements are to even update to Reason 13 are going to be. I'm still running 10.15.7 Catalina on a 2012 Macbook Pro which I don't intend on upgrading anytime soon. So just think about that before some...

Oh, no, it's this thing Tony Robbins says a lot.
It's "another level", but Tony likes to say things are "on a whole 'nother level".

You've got to embrace the slow version.
It's hard at first, I know.
But trust me, when you get with it you experience this song on a whole 'nother level.
'nother ... ... level!!!

Billie Eilish: singing the "real" version of MJ's "Bad"
Is it me or does this sound like the "real" version of the song? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pv6Rt2x6kPg We've just been distracted by the disco instrumental and fast tempo. No. We've been fooled. This is the real version of the song. ... Got me wondering, ... what other songs need a reinterpret...

Re: Arturia Announcement Today April 9 6pm CEST/12 noon EST
I really thought RS would have done this with elk like they were showing off a few years ago. Native Instruments should’ve done this by now as well. As simple as this keyboard is, it’s genius! The stage intended keyboard market is pretty boring compared to what software can do and this is a step in...

Re: Reason Studios 13 or 14 (Future Talk)
Do we really need Remote when MIDI 2 is just around the corner? I'd like to see a few demonstrations of this working for things that already exist. So far it sounds too vague as if it requires some magic to get it right. This isn't even a MIDI problem but an autoconfiguration problem that hasn't be...

Re: Reason Studios 13 or 14 (Future Talk)
If they're wise they'll consider controller collaborations with Akai, Nektar or Novation. Given what they have done with the great Remote tech when Reason was still a standalone product, I highly doubt they’d go that route since RRP remonte capabilities are under the host DAW Missing the mark in th...

Re: open source millitary percussion beats available?
Drumline for me was about the thrill of a large group in perfect (or close!) sync, the power of ‘many’ making the sound of ‘one’. I will admit I don’t watch drumline/drum corps videos myself, so it was more about the powerful experience for me than the actual music being presented. It actually taug...

Re: Reason Studios 13 or 14 (Future Talk)
It's hard to gauge how Reason 13 or 14 will be, but I bet they've spent the last 2 years doing a lot of R&D to enhance the workflow. They'll also be appeasing the suits upstairs with their (I'm presuming) demands to bring more "value" to the subscription model at the expense of perpetual licenses. T...

Presonus AudioBox Go. Wow!!
I needed (wanted really) any old thing to connect my non-production PC to my speakers (Mackie CR4). I could have connected it via a stereo jack cable, but I wanted a volume knob that was not on the speakers. Behringer has some cheap options, and I was tempted to get their £20 interface that only has...

Re: Presonus ruffling feathers with their latest update.
I understand why people value perpetual licenses. But everything in life is ephemeral. Your OS and your computer is not perpetual. Chances are after some time what you own today will not run on modern systems. I use Studio One when I am recording all live things. I hate that you cannot switch time ...

Re: Steinberg discontinues vst2 for all users
Yes you need a license to host vst. It's understood that future releases won't be able to host vst2 because of this. Some people here were thinking host-devs didn't need a license :puf_wink: the only thing I could see is about dropped support for SDK 2.0, which only affects developers as I understa...

Re: Steinberg discontinues vst2 for all users
So far, I've not found anything pointing to the possibility of doing this without the Steinberg SDK and/or a Steinberg license. Also, I cannot imagine Steinberg controlling the plugin-side of VST-technology, without controlling the hosting-side as well (which the above shows they obviously do). Goi...
