Re: Introducing the ES01 Analog Synthesizer: In the shop now!

The sound, to me, is just immediatly pleasant. Strikes me as being especially good for house/rave.

Re: Introducing the ES01 Analog Synthesizer: In the shop now!

You're paying for the signature sound, not the feature set. This is literally the only CS01 emulation out there (to my knowledge!), so that has to be factored in as well.

I'm not familiar with the original, but I think the price is perfectly fair if it is indeed an accurate emulation.

Re: Logic 10.4 Released - Another RIDICULOUS Free update

I'm gonna keep posting, I'm off for the rest of the week. Got nothing but time to play: So here's a cool trick: Play a dark, low chord, with a gushy, filtery, warmish sounding pad sound, and hold it for a few seconds - then hit FREEZE on Chromaverb and let go of the keyboard. Now imagine the possib...

Re: Intel chip massive security flaw

Here is another benchmark (not mine) - It's pre-Skylake (Haswell) which is said to suffer more from this. https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/7o2a7i/before_after_kb4056892_i74790k/ I have the same CPU and the latest Windows update. As far I can tell there isn't any noticable performance d...

Re: How do you guys feel about Reason getting rewritten on 11?

Could be wrong but didn’t someone post somewhere when the Props announced VST in 9.5 that he was one of the coders that originally programmed VST into Reason and that they did it many years ago but sat on the feature for ages?? Did I dream that? Could it possibly be that where the VST implementatio...

That's like €71 what's the catch?
The catch, depending on how you view it, is that PH receive less money than if you were to buy it directly from their own shop.

JRR is completely legit, if that's what you're wondering. I've bought several plugins there.

Re: Do you use your own Templates?

I've set up some synths and a Kong routed to bus groups (Drums, Bass, Poly and Pads) that have appropriate High/Low cut settings. On sends I've just placed some general-purpose reverb and delay and EQ'ed those.

Nothing on my master except a neutral Mclass chain (EQ>Stereo Imager>Brickwall)

Imagine where plugins would be today if Steinberg had only made VST either a Cubase-only format or one that required licensing fees.

Just sayin'.

How come there aren't any tape emulations?

And yes, I am aware that Scream 4 and Audiomatic can simulate tape, but those offer very limited controls.

Tape emus are very popular (as far as I can tell), so I don't understand why no one has yet to corner this part of the RE market. 🤔

Tbf, they've had five years to make this update. For comparison, since Live 9 was released, Propellerheads released Reason 7, 8, 9 and 10. I'm just sayin' - don't get me wrong, I'm as excited about any new DAW version announcement as the next dork. It does put things in perspective regarding Reason...

Re: Ableton Live 10

How does the new Wavetable synth compare to Europa? I’m no Live user but a lot of this new stuff sounds like things that Bitwig already does. Oscillator effects - 3 morph modes with 2 modulators in each (FM: amount and tuning, Modern: Warp and fold, Classic: PW and sync) A lot of wavetables - can't...

Re: Ableton Live 10

To be fair, the new devices and sound content are only in Suite. M4L might now be "integrated" but it's still Suite-only. Standard Live only gets the UI/workflow stuff. Suite retails for $749, Reason for $399. That Max devices are now actually fully integrated is a big deal. I considered them less ...

Re: Questions for Europa users

A big plus for eXpanse is that you have customizable amp envelope (and with beat division sync). In Europa you can route the engines in to envelopes, but they still have to go through the fixed amp envelope, so that sucks.
