For those selecting the option that VST2 is enough, I am curious to know why. Is it because you only use VST2 plugins and can't see that changing? Or do you not use VSTs at all?

They absolutely have to implement VST3. Steinberg no longer allow new plugins to ship as VST2.

No such issues here. Running 10.14 on a late 2013 27" iMac, 3.4GHz i5, 32GB DDR3 RAM, Reason 10.2d93. Balance works fine, with no issues, either on its own or as part of an aggregate device. Also have zero issues with my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 2nd gen. All inputs selectable and working on all devices.
