Re: Dear Verdane, Reason's VST Performance is a Serious Productivity & Creativity Killer
Meh - it's useless talking about this. This is just a rant. And yeah, bouncing is an option. I know every CPU saving workaround in existence. But should I really have to be consciously thinking about that while I write? No. Like I said, it's a creativity killer to be thinking about technical things ...

Uhbik RE Crossgrade Coming Soon
After Propellerhead announced VST support in Reason 9.5, a number of Uhbik Rack Extension customers asked whether they could switch to the VST version. In a few days we will send out an email to customers who own two or more Uhbik Rack Extensions. Included is a coupon discounting the price of the re...

I'm not sure getting the bean counters involved is the way to go ... Oh really? Why not? They own 60% of the company. And check this out: http://www.breakit.se/artikel/7163/glada-toner-nar-propellerhead-saljs-trio-cashar-in-over-100-miljoner-kronor "We are good at dealing with performance issues. I...

Dear Verdane, Reason's VST Performance is a Serious Productivity & Creativity Killer
Geeze, so many performance complaints. Here's mine. As a person who chooses to primarily use VSTs in Reason, I've concluded that it's just not worth the time TO ME to use Reason 9.5.1 for any serious work. Here's why: So I'm building a track in Reason using: 1 Omnisphere 2 Sylenths 2 Slate Drum inst...

Re: SDK wishlist
At this point, the SDK needs to have all the features of VST. And that will take Propellerhead 10 years to accomplish. It's been over a month since 9.5 was released. I think it's pretty apparent to everyone that at the moment, REs are dead. I like to think of it as REs are PS3 games, and Reason 9.5...

Re: Waves plugins - Multiple versions
The manual explains it: WaveShell technology enables us to split Waves processors into smaller plugins, which we call components. Having a choice of components for a particular processor gives you the flexibility to choose the configuration best suited to your material. H-Reverb has two sets of time...

Use the code: CK901 at everyplugin.com So for example, all the $21.53 Waves plugins (and there are A LOT) are now $19.81. Re: Best Tape Saturation Plug-in (Waves or other), Console
I put the Slate VCC on every mix channel and the Mixbuss on the master. It's a very subtle difference that'll make you think it's not even doing anything but then you'll miss it when you take it out. For more "noticeable" saturation, here are my top 3 (which I use): 1. Klanghelm SDRR - 23 € / $26: h...

Re: In the Shop: Waves' AudioTrack VST Plugin free for Reason 9.5 owners until July 31st!
Waves plugins are actually very, very good and you can tell from the manuals of each plugin that they're really proud of their plugins. The manual for the PS22 Stereo Maker is particularly noteworthy for the (now deceased) author's enthusiasm in showing you how to use the plugin the best way possibl...

You should tell Waves because,
from Waves:
"Sidechaining is supported on the following hosts: Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Nuendo, Cubase, Sonar, Audition, Ableton Live, FL Studio 12, REAPER and Studio One."

"Waiting for the Horizon" - 3 DSP bars @ 256, playing a progression of 4 note chords. Something's up with your setup perhaps.

I'm on a 2012 mac mini and I don't have any problems with Omnisphere. It's my most used VST. What patch gave you the 'computer too slow ' message?

I've taken advantage of a lot of these crazy Waves sales lately and I have this bad feeling they're going to screw us later.
BY THE WAY:
use code DK39S at audio deluxe and get this for $21.90.

Keep in mind I'm on a 2012 mac mini. Did it a little different than your instructions : ) Started with a Thor + VBC, then duplicated both 'till it choked. I got to 45. A Subtractor + VBC combo: 48 instances. Thor and the newest plugin I have, Brauer Motion: 42 instances. Thor + the oldest plugin I h...

Ok I see, so using 4 different instruments, piling Slate VBC on each of them, I can do 35 instances of VBC rack. Still nowhere close to Logic though.

Yes, they are very aware and of course working to improve it, as mentioned by Mattias over at KVR here: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6811115#p6811115 So that guy who ran the Slate VBC test - I did the same thing and Reason choked at ONLY 18 instances of VBC rack. Logic let me run O...

Re: I Need a Bypass Button on the VST Toolbar
Can you not A/B it there use a clean patch and the patch you have? Most VST's have a bypass of some sort. If you combine a VST or put it in a mix channel you can program a button to Bypass, A/B, Wet/Dry, and remote override the button to a midi button or even a key/rotary. Yes of course there are a...

I Need a Bypass Button on the VST Toolbar
So when I have a plugin pinned open and am in the sequencer view, I'd like something on the plugin itself to bypass it without having to go back to the rack. Some plugs don't come with a bypass.

I want to be able to call up a VST from the sequencer lane.
Below is my preferred screen layout. I don't use the browser to create instruments. I right-click instead. It's faster for me. I also add effects to my tracks this way. So anyway, I would really like to use the rack as less as possible. In fact, if I never have to use it, FINE BY ME. So the only thi...
