Prop Shop's May Madness Sale!
This is a mad sale indeed. I had my eye on one of the bundle rigs , already discounted and been holding of for months on buying anything. So this comes at a nice surprise and a good lesson that patience pays off. Just wondering though ,when d-filter will be going on sale ever?

autotheory-and-subtractor-test ( techno experiment )
This was to test how "Autotheory" in combination with "Subtractor" and I forgot also , "Distributor", behaves. The Distributor comes in extremely handy when requiring flexible variations in chords and melodies , especially triggers start and end points and number of voices triggered. I have only scr...

D- filter test ( techno experiment )
This one is to test the " D-filter " from Code - diggers. Tried several methods in order to achieve the filter sweeps without success. the "Mr overdrive" onboard filter is nice - sounding but I prefer this particular sound it creates. If there are any other suggestions in Reason which can offer simi...

Experimenting with Thor in Reason as the main sound source. Even though we have so many different ones in the shop, I only have 2 others ( Predator and Parsec ) , really mostly on Thor and equally as much on Subtractor

McDSP on Sale!
On a side note, how much DSP usage does the McDSP stuff take? I know that people have complained about other company's compressors and EQs (U-He, Lab-One, etc) making a hit on their system performance, I was curious if the McDSP REs were the "solution" or if they only add to the CPU all-you-can-eat...

McDSP on Sale!
I mistakenly bought the 670 for $29 during the sale , instead of getting the bundle. I sent a ticket to Props requesting the ability to pay the difference and get the bundle. I thought I bought the FRG for $49 just before the sale but I hadnt. I hope they can get back to me with some good news. I ...

My thoughts on Futzbox
Audiomatic is fantastic. I tried Futzbox and wasn't impressed too much. The simulations are filters but don't have any ambience to it (lacking depth). And some distortion settings have too sharp transients, they create a click on certain sounds (like percussive instruments). I contacted McDSP and ...

I agree with your points. But I do think it's easy to fall into a habit of just getting more stuff instead of learning more about what you already have. I love Softube Trident, just sounds so nice to my ears. And the FET comp in logic is awesome. I guess in a way I was telling myself not to buy mor...

Which filter fx do you use?
Etch is cool, great patches, but it is one of those CPU-hogs ^^. apparently their DCAM comps are too, compared to McDSP's (someone pointed that out in another tread). I have tried the Dcam comps and waited a long time trying various others before finally deciding on getting the MCDSP's which is ve...

just letting you guys know that I have added 3 more engines to the initial post. Only question I have right about now, should I really bother using buttons on insert effects? Which filter fx do you use?
Haven't read the replies here but Codediggers is my fave for hp/lp at >18db shelving filters. Love the Synapse AF for adding distortion and FX. Mainly use it as a band pass with movement. Love Uhbik Runciter for extreme stuff that tends to noise... "Deepest Chain" of mine being an example. Like the...

There are two modes - LP and HP. There is a switch which you can flick on the left side in order to change the mode. All of the patches seem to have some modulation stuff going on with the envelop. When envelop amount is increase , then the effect of the modulation increases. Seems like the "automa...
