Shout back if you try it with Reason standalone. I appreciate its built for other DAWs really, but would love to hear how it works in Reason, as I suspect over time will many others.
Cheers,
Marc

Arturia Keylab Mk3
Anyone bought a new mk3 Keylab yet? I know there is no dedicated mapping at this point, but wondered if anyone had tried it out, and what the initial experience looked like with presumably the Mackie Control Universal way of integrating it, but equally if it works with a legacy KeyLab mapping. Need ...

Re: Reason Studios 13 or 14 (Future Talk)
You just create different RRP's on different tracks within your host daw for that. But you can’t send CV between those instances, which again takes away from Reason’s modularity. This(no cross instance CV) and the fact I can't house VSTs in the RRP mean I can't use most of my normal workflows.

Re: Voluntary group for DAW improvements
I had other thoughts about how the community could collaborate to improve the tool, but it would need support from RS with a new feature. I'd like Reason to introduce macros, so that the action of hooking up two or more devices can be recorded outside of needing to save them as a patch in a combinat...

Re: Voluntary group for DAW improvements
Adding extensive and deep Remote support for many hardware controllers including good default maps for all REs could be done as a collaborative effort using a common git repo and a permissive license (e.g. CC-0 aka public domain). That way RS could even include the mappings later on into new Reason...

Re: Interest over time
Do you know what I reckon would be a more interesting graph, if it were actually possible: excitement for releases from Props/Reason Studios over time? I used to be genuinely hyped to find out what the latest release would bring, and this has waned massively for me, same with the release of new rack...

Re: KOMPLETE KONTROL M32 is not recognized by Reason
The lack of decent midi keyboard and controller support across the top vendors is for me as much of a problem for Reason Studios as the 12+months of bug fixes we've needed to receive. If you don't have widespread hardware support for an application that effectively needs controller hardware to be of...

Re: What are the biggest reasons, why certain bugs appear for only few of us?
Disregarding software for a minute, as I agree there's so many things that can go wrong its almost not worth elaborating on. Even the same hardware applications can behave differently. Take my Mac for example, it was performing poorly, I couldn't open songs I'd worked on previously without hiccups. ...

Re: How many racks do you work in?
I generally go with a vertical rack per layer. Occasionally I choose to group together the mix channels for these to its own rack space, typically if things have grown large horizontally, and finding things more difficult.

Re: I really, really should learn how to program synths.
Great topic. I find a few things about most synths easy and intuitive, the filter/envelope, amp envelope and effects. The part I most struggle with is the initial sound generation typically with one or more oscillators. I can work with the basics: square, triangle, sawtooth etc. I think it's the myr...

Hello, I've been struggling to use Reason this afternoon. It crashed like 5 times in the last hour or so. Before submitting a ticket, I just wanted to see if this issue ever happened to some of you. What I' m doing: I start from a fresh project --> custom template (only built in effects or REs + So...

Re: Button to flush HI-res from RSN for good. Plus 8 bit video mixer.
RS let us know the HiRes changes to the application took a significant rewrite of code. Whilst on the surface it looks to everyone that reverting to the normal resolution graphics will be a straightforward switch of images assets, its very likely this is not the case. I'd suggest (without knowing fo...

I quietly hope so. They have a track record of doing this with the release of Record. Their upcoming VST3 implementation will perhaps give us clues.

Re: Is Reason Studios falling apart?
the two people coding Reaper might beg to differ. 😏 Indeed they might. Although I'd counter that with the suggestion that, side by side, Reaper is not as complex a piece of software as Reason. Whilst on the surface these two apps are intended to achieve the same thing, the programming journey they'...

Re: Is Reason Studios falling apart?
I dunno, the vast majority of software companies have managed pretty okay for the last, what, 40 years charging fixed prices. Propellerhead included. Whilst it is true companies managed before with fixed prices, software nowadays is considerably more complex, mainly because processing power allows ...

Re: Reason session loses punch ???
Is this a phenomenon that would happen in any DAW? In a word yes, it can happen in any DAW. However, other DAWs tend to offer more rigid and structured ways of routing that are less likely to introduce these sorts of issues. Reason's free routing ethos tends to lead to delays in the signal chain if...

Re: Reason session loses punch ???
Latency compensation is definitely a candidate, as plugin or rack extension induced latency can lead to phase cancelling effects, and this likely is responsible for the loss of oomph you experience. You'd do well to look at your signal chains to see where else you might have short delays causing pha...

Wait, no inversions? But I will assume the suggested chords will be in the appropriate inversion already right? Can't imagine every chord being in root position 😂 nah, they must be already voiced appropriately and from there you can alter it to suit your fancy. I'll check it out when I have time to...

Re: HELP Robotic Bean Sequences record without quantization
It's not a limitation of the RE SDK, it's just that we set out to build a sequencer around the concept of quick and easy per-step manipulation of sequences using the lanes, timing edit handles etc. I'm not sure how unquantized recording would fit inside that concept? Proposals and elaborations are ...

But shouldn't 3,7Ghz be enough for one Antidote patch still, as when I tested this I didn't have any other devices in the rack. And my previous PC didn't have this problem that was 4-cored i7. Care to post the Antidote patch thats causing problems(apologies if this has been done elsewhere in the th...
