Re: Shoutout to Lectric Panda

Just a shoutout to Lectric Panda. I have literally not manually played a note since picking up the amazing Evolution player, and I even picked up Joseph Schillinger's books to learn more about the theory behind the Player. Holler if you need any testers for your newfangled Aggregate Music System, I...

Re: Shoutout to Lectric Panda

Evolution and QuadNoteGenerator, also by LectricPanda but marketed as a Reason product, are my two favourite Players. Sequencers like Korde and PSQ-1684 are amazing. And LectricPanda makes great CV devices too, like Shape, ZFO, Janitor, and CVPTap. PSQ-1684 is great, I wish it’d had a GUI refresh, ...

In a nutshell: 10 patches/combinators with a common theme. Might also include an example on how to use the patches.
Did you say 10 ? I've never seen these things.

This is your lucky day. These are my Lectric Panda REs, scaled to 140% on a 1440p BenQ monitor. Apparently I can only attache 3 files at a time. You can view the 4 full-sized screenshots on my Dropbox here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/av3x8k6ojuvnrrr/AAA4gTqeKyn2gp81hoy1Le1Ga?dl=0 Thank you! Mighty ...

The only time I ever use static_decoration is if I need to turn a graphic on and off programmatically via visibility_switch or overlay with alpha on top of custom displays via blend_mode = "normal"

Re: What's the most efficient way to handle property diffs?

I've profiled many of my REs over the years looking for bottlenecks, and the time spent in reading the property diffs has always seemed to be completely negligible compared to everything else the RE does. So I concur with the view that it doesn't matter, and I just try to write code that's easy to ...

Re: What's the most efficient way to handle property diffs?

I have a huge switch statement. But, its auto generated. I've automated out a bunch of the tedious stuff. I parse the motherboard.lua file with some python and generate the switch. I also auto generate the texts.lua from the motherboard.

Re: question about detecting new notes

It sounds to me like the MIDI OUT device isn't following the CV rules. I don't have a way to check here. Also, what jam-s said is correct. I'm not seeing in your code where you are setting cv gate.

Fortunately the combinator patch file does not have that encryption. I have generated subtr...
