Re: mDSQ - Micro Drum Sequencer - is in the shop!
Can you elaborate on this ? I can't think of what more could be added for pattern changes... Pattern change in Redrum and Matrix is synced to the next bar. This is what none of the pattern player devices do, including the RS ones. Ah! that is interesting, I never knew that.. it behaves differently ...

mDSQ - Micro Drum Sequencer - is in the shop!
mDSQFront.jpg mDSQBack.jpg MDSQ is a minimal drum sequencer player for Reason that allows the user craft beats in a compact form. MDSQ was Inspired by the ReDrum sequencer and expanded into the player format to control all percussion sound generators. It supports 8 patterns and 16 drum parts per pa...

Re: mDSQ - New Player on Lectric Panda's youtube channel
This is probably not the time for feature requests, but here's one: It would be useful if you can set the value for each of the four preset levels of step velocity. My kits (mostly multisampled acoustic) don't have all that much happening between v30 and v60, those are both quite soft hits. Most of...

Re: The podcast (Sound Minds) is here!
Listening to the reason studios podcast led me to this podcast which is more like what I expected the reason podcast to be like: https://www.whywebleep.com/whywebleep I don't own any modular gear but I never miss a why we bleep. One of the best out there. Another top notch one is Jamie Lidell's ha...

Re: Anyone still using the Expert Sleeper's Silent Way RE?
2. One massive drawback is that you have to tune it before you use it (after loading Reason). This is so irritating. This is PARTLY due to the fact that REs can't save to text files, so no special settings can be saved. But to be honest you should be able to use it untuned. If I just want to use it...

Re: Help! NO MIDI KEYBOARD'S EVER WORK FOR LONG!?
I'll echo what avasopht said. Either you got a bad cable or a bad usb hub in the mix. Or another USB device thats dragging down everything else. I've had cheap USB devices knock out hubs and onboard usb ports.

Re: Midi issues
Hi, For a long time I have gotten away with midi just having to be in or out from a device and since a lot of keyboards have USB therefore the midi leads have been in a drawer for a long time! I have recently bought some new hardware since and I’m trying to do something very simple but although it ...

Re: Aggregate Music System 1.0.0 - on Sale now!
I was curious just how many could be added and I gave up counting when I saw there were more than 4x the "pages." A quicker way to get to page 4 for example would be nice, but I am much more interested in a practical update similar to a suggestion that was mentioned early on: Have a gate/cv out for...

Re: Future of the SDK
I do question further development of the SDK. I mean, I don't want to be a Debbie Downer here but there are only like 5-10 active developers left and around 75% of them are Gorilla IDT devs who won't really benefit from new SDK features anyway. For resources to be directed at further SDK developmen...

Re: Aggregate Music System 1.0.0 - on Sale now!
That one REALLY stuck out for me as well. Sounds like a Boards of Canada interlude. Gorgeous. Have you head of an artist that goes by the name “1991" ? He is responsible for two albums (high tech life/no more dreams; I only like a few songs on the third one) that I can’t get enough of. I would real...

Re: Novation BASS STATION II editor (Reason Combinator 2.0 CC editor)
These look great! I have a supernova I might eventually do this for. I haven't looked at any of the combi 2 stuff yet. Was there a technical limitation that forced you to split it into 3? How do you set the midi device output its on?

Re: Aggregate Music System 1.0.0 - on Sale now!
I would suggest the best way of keeping the parts separate is using the offsets of the melody and accompaniment, push them up and down one or two octaves, split them combinator keyrange, then inside the combinator use a UTL with note offset in the opposite direction +24 or -24. Re: Aggregate Music System 1.0.0 - on Sale now!
it is a very specific compositional sculpturing tool. you get out of it what you put into it, which is unlike most generative tools i've had experience with. True. I expect most people open in it and bang the random button a few times and say, this is shit noise... But really, besides that action, ...
