Re: (Technoish) - Linear
I never got to the end before pressing stop :(. I admit i only listened via mobile but the hats on that were so ear piercing and loud in the mix it made it uncomfortable to my ears. Im not shure how it would translate on a big rig but going by what it sounds like on mobile id say them hats would ca...

Re: (Technoish) - Linear
Thanks for listening, there is supposed to be a little dissonance here and there.
My favourite bit is actually the filter and reverb on the last note.

Re: The Forcing of Windows 10
http://www.techweekeurope.co.uk/workspace/operating-system/microsoft-windows-10-pop-up-194676 The Windows 10 fiasco sucks, if I were to update my piece of s*** Dell i3 work computer to Windows 10, as it keeps suggesting I should, it would implode from lack of power. Just wish that nag screen would j...

Re: Brexit
Absolute undemocratic arrogant thinking. So the majority don't share your view therefore it's because they are thick? I don't think it's arrogant to expect people to do at least 10 minutes of research before they cast a vote on something so incredibly important, and we *both* know that a lot of peo...

Re: Anyone else get audio crackling/slow down with on-screen activity?
I'm hoping this will help a little: https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/207355205-Optimising-your-PC-for-Audio-on-Windows-10 Although I moved to Mac some time ago I've had the same issue back when I was on PC. The bit that fixed it for me was the setting for processor scheduling for back...

Re: Just picked up an RME Babyface Pro - here's a Reason users perspective...
Not so with RME's Babyface Pro! Even on my heaviest projects, I can sustain 128 samples (4 ms input/3 ms output) without no audio drop out or pop/click!!! This is simply astounding. Better yet, on projects in the early stage I can easily sustain 64 samples (3 ms input/2 ms output) and as low as 48 ...

Re: Advice for new external sound card
This link is getting on a bit but RME seem to feature a lot in the top 10 best latencies: https://www.gearslutz.com/board/music-computers/618474-audio-interface-low-latency-performance-data-base.html These figures are based on Windows performance and in my experience most sound cards function as wel...

Re: Advice for new external sound card
I have an RME Babyface sound card which is awesome. RME drivers are some of the best out there and they support their products for years. Worth a look if not to costly for you. Are you on Mac or PC? I am on Mac. The driver latency is better than the Apogee Duet I kept for around an hour (dire drive...

Re: Advice for new external sound card
I'm seriously considering a Babyface Pro, but.... I'll wait it out and see if I can score one on sale or on a promo though. $749 USD is a bit steep for this IMHO. Compared to the opposition it's money well spent. Perhaps look for a secondhand Babyface (not pro)? Actually, my Sweetwater rep can do $...
