Re: Black Panther: How Amazing was it? Amazing Amazing or Amazing Amazing Amazing?

I can't stand the politically correct-hyping of this obviously overbloated just-another-superhero-movie. And I find the whole controversy about racism surrounding this movie rather racist. This was more or less my reaction. It paid lip service to a few social issues, but the story was definitely ge...

Re: Are you against GMOs too? Then hear me out.

[*] They now believe that the companies spray chemicals into the world that change the genes of stuff [/list] As ludicrous as this sounds from a scientific perspective, I think you're right. People believe somehow that a GMO crop will modify their own genes or poison them. In many cases GMO crops a...

Re: Are you against GMOs too? Then hear me out.

I'm with you one hundred percent Normen. Most people against GMOs don't really understand the science, much less the issues of feeding an ever growing population. I think for most people it's just a "gut reaction." Gut reactions aren't always right, especially when working with limited understanding.

I think the poll choices are pretty cheesy.

But then again that's not stopped a lot of bands.

My band would be 'The Sluts'. No idea if it's been used before but there it is.
Cheesy huh?

Zac, forgive me if I question your judgement. The sluts? You must be SUPER edgy.

Ravenoville is a commune in the Manche department in north-western France, close to Utah Beach.
That's actually an interesting idea. Thanks for the suggestion.

Poll: Help me pick a band name.

Hello all. I'm about to launch on a new musical venture and am trying to pick a band name. The options are: Quixote Jones: As in Don Quixote, and Jones as in a drug craving. i.e. I crave to go charging at windmills, to live in my imagination. Buko Wolf: an allusion to my favorite author Charles Buko...

Re: Do you remember what you believed in at 18 yo? Do you know anyone who has stuck to their early ideals?

People don't label you for the actual status difference but only for their own personal issues. A banker might feel threatened by your freedom regarding your time schedule so he puts an emphasis on your wage difference. He KNOWS that the world doesn't work without artists (or consisting only of ban...

Re: Do you remember what you believed in at 18 yo? Do you know anyone who has stuck to their early ideals?

You seriously think working in a bank would have kept you sane, able to deal with substances and given you a family? ;) No. I'd be dead if I worked in a bank. Still doesn't make it easy. Being a "loser" in the eyes of society can wear on a guy. Still, as Bukowski said: "I've never met another man I...

I don't know how many people are answering this seriously, but I've absolutely stuck to my early ideals. Anarchist. Iconoclast. Musician. Poet. As a result I'm now 38, no job, no family, struggling with addiction and mental health shit. It's hard. Ideals don't age well, but for some of us they're pr...

Re: DSP issues

Did any of you guy check if moving the graphics card PCI slot helps and did you check your DPC latency? Somehow it sounds to me like the props use different UI code causing the graphics subsystem of the computer to create "pauses" waiting for the hardware (i.e. interrupts), thus increasing DSP load...

It would help if you specified what you upgraded from--what OS and Reason version were you on previously when you were getting better performance? And, are you absolutely sure you didn't change anything else on your system, hardware or software, at the same time that you upgraded to Win10/Reason10?...

I dig this. It reminds me a bit of dubstep in places since it's a flavor of "hard" electronic music, except you left out all the shit that makes dubstep hurt my ears. Electronic metal. I like it. Speed drumming on the bass drum around three minutes into the more spare breakdown works well. This is w...
