Has Sean Carter just blown $56 million ?

I've been doing Flac for years from my own collection. What is this offering that's any different? unlimited streaming to your mobile devices , you say.  You would need a service like Fios 150/150 for it to be streaming reliably, with no buffering or freezing. Personally I listen to music the old-fa...

Those damn bad frequencies!

Oh I'm calm. I feel very relieved now actually that the trainwreck forum got killed. Yeah sure, 10 years of knowledge destroyed, but hey, this phoenix is doing nicely. A lot better without those stupid Swedes running the show. Let's not stereotype a whole nation just because you're holding a grudge...

The Results: DIY Ribbon Mic v/s AT 2050 Condenser

So here's some feedback for what is worth: It seems the Ribbon mic controls the plosives and Sss much better than the Condenser. The breaths do sound more natural with the Ribbon. There's a bit more air with the Condenser, making things a bit more clear, but it comes with the added slight sibilance....

Netflix

I pulled the plug with cable. Optimum was charging me almost $200 a month...so that I can watch a few shows and News...not worth it. Got me an HD TV antenna that gives the basic local channels, a Roku 3 box with channels like Sling TV, Plex, Netflix, Amazon, Plus many others. Some are subscription b...

Keep on bangin' on Alex. Nice intro and then just bam all over. :) It does sound like it's party going on the other side. ;)

Just wanted to say thanks to this community..

I would like to say, thanks Brent for keeping the spirit of the old PH forum alive here, and without all the spam too. :)

To everybody else, thanks for making this a great community experience.

Summer Storm (all Parsec RE)

Sounds great! very organic and dynamic. Impressive sound you got out of Parsec, really. The only thing, to me...it sounds like a winter track more. It may be the icy Parsec sounds on some parts that give it this chilly vibe. :) The strings parts are awesome btw.

[Synthpop] One More Day by Pacific Deep

Raymond just got the damn DSI mopho and he's already a master at it!? :D This track encompasses all Synthpop elements of yesteryear and adds a special touch for the modern day. Also, I like your voice with this deeper tone, perhaps this is a lower key for you?, but it works really well with this sty...

Double Rainbow Mode.

No, Rainbows are too gay for my eyes to look at for too long.
Please refrain from making jokes like this one. Some might find it offensive and it can easily turn into a shit fest.

The "What do you play?" thread

I used to be a huge Video game freak. I would play for days on end. I think I did get most of the consoles, starting with the Atari 2600. Ask me know...I only touch that PS3 controller to watch Blu-Ray movies. :) I was a big fan of Sega games. Love Nintendo and Sony, but Sega always holds a special ...

For How much longer CD's/DVD's Will Be Around?

For How much longer CD's/DVD's Will Be Around? [/color] Until the next format materializes itself, most likely. There are two strong contenders in the horizon. Both will utilize formats or mediums we already use. As to what impact these will have, it is to yet to be seen. [*] High Fidelity Pure Aud...

Do you layer things??

I layer my tracks like I layer my clothing - on a "as needed" basis. For example, yesterday I needed five layers to stay warm: https://s3.amazonaws.com/files.websitetoolbox.com/177147/2237950   Layers: Use 'em when you need 'em. :) Make sure you take care out there Giles! We don't want to lose anot...

You guys need to chill, really. Tools can only be as good as the tool bearer.  or the tool maker .... I don't know...there's always been something special with Reason. I've tried others DAWs, and have other tools at my disposal, but I keep coming back to Reason. ;) I feel the tool maker has done en...

My First Song Post...So be Nice.

Hey rvman! The structure is there, guitars sound good along with the vocals. Besides what others have said about the vocals, the only thing I can add is to have a few more melody lines, maybe with strings. Some Cello would sound nice with her voice and this style of music. Unless you want to keep it...
