Thanks for that
I've been experimenting the past few days with Neutron with locked buffer and voice samples. Its been rather psychedelic.

Shape is in the shop!
The device i have in mind works with 1 cv in.. 2 cv out.. And a dial that would generate a signal so you could easily automate. My idea was, if reason can record 14 bit midi cc, and represent the signal in two lanes in the sequencer in the form of 2 midi cc's total, then it should be possible to ma...

I've been playing with a Re idea that i think can work around this. Unfortunately i'm a very slow learner as far as Re coding... Also, the idea that props could just implement it natively isnt very motivating in getting it done either.. Any dev interested ? Yea, it wouldn't be too hard to have a CV...

no, this is obvious but the sub 37 have more resolution than 0-127 how can i accomplish this ? I think you are referring to RPN and NRPN type MIDI messages. While the External MIDI Device supports the CCs that make up the NPRN message (CC98, CC99, CC6, CC38), there isn't a good way to sequence the...

I'm sure anything can be done using the right codecs.
When i read your post i was intrigued if i could solve what i thought to be your question inside Reason. ^^

Need a Little Help: Creating Asymmetric Slopes Using Pitchbend
Ehhhmmmmm.... I'm maybe completely lost, but lets see :) If i understand your question correctly, you want to be able to map a physical control to the tempo in such a way that when it sits at neutral the tempo is 120, with max at 480, with minimal at 30. At the same time you want to control pitch be...

Need a Little Help: Creating Asymmetric Slopes Using Pitchbend
I made one with stock devices.. took a bit of time to get my head around it. Same as with my previous attempt, redirect the midi signal from the emi back into reason and map that pitch bend onto the tempo. With pitch wheel at 0 the tempo should be at 120, minimal 30, maximal 480. Its a bit klunky, b...

I know of no stock devices that can do this kind of CV juggling.
But let me think about it...
If i can find a way to get get only halve of a cv signal ( for example, only the positive part ) then i can possibly do it.

Ok, i think i got that working by using several cv mutants, a spider CV and an EMI :P If you redirect the midi data from the emi back into reason, and map that pitch bend signal onto the tempo it should sit at 120 in neutral, 30 at minimum and 480 at maximum. Other then using CV mutant or edit a cod...

Is musical ability genetic?
Many years before us people made music without tools. People can sing, and smash objects together. Complex rythms and melodies need no more tools than that. Yes, but how do we learn what's acceptable as music. Instruments aren't the only tools. They can also be the reference material, the environme...

I prefer no special priviliges for donators. Running a forum like this can be hard enough in itself without people having special privileges (admins aside). I think there's a risk that if you start with giving special privileges sooner or later people are going to try to get more. Or they may possib...

Dr. Rex/Recycle Problem
If i throw the sample alongside the rex on tracks in reason i can defenitely hear the difference. There are very audible clicks in the rex file thats not there in the original. There's also a lot more bass to subbass energy in the Rex file that i don't see in the wave. I get the impression that when...

I get the idea but cannot fully understand the steps. If it not too much of an effort could you make a short video or slideshow on the subject There's nothing extra to show that I haven't shown. What I'm saying in that quote is that you could stop at 7:54 seconds in the video if you wanted to. You ...

Having Trouble with a feedback loop
The patch takes an extremely long time to die down.. Both destroyer 1 and 2 are still very much active after 7+ minutes. Even at 30 minutes they haven't completely died down. So, to stop the sound, dial back the feedback knobs on the master section of Chenille. If you want this to happen automatical...

Predator: problem with delay causing pitchmodulation when shifting tempo in sequencer
As far as i understand your example, i think there are more delay units that exhibit this behaviour. Some units compensate for time changes, others don't. The ECHO changes pitch, unless you enable "keep pitch". The echo algorithm on the RV700 doesn't. The DDL-1 does. Synchronous doesn't... but has a...

808/sub bass thump!
I recently discovered that part of my problem with this is in my monitors. Anything under 55ish hz turns into mud, under 50 hz it simply dissapears. I thought it would gradually fade, but no, it just drops out completely. Even though i know that to mix properly i need to hear it properly, i actually...
