Re: Maia Sequencer Question
Ok, so I checked out the play head on the transport and watched where it is when the sequencer resets. It resets when the playhead hits the next clip. I moved the next clip, stretched the first clip to cover the next one I moved, stretched the note, and then played it again and the sequencer didn't...

Re: Maia Sequencer Question
And Orange didn't reset because ... well I cut the clips to lengths that didn't correspond to 16 steps in the sequencer, and removed the overlapping notes. Then it reset also. Problem solved.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Maia Sequencer Question
I have a song project that I made but the sequencer in Maia (original) will go through the complete sequence once just fine, but then on the 2nd time through, it will stop at the end of the 3rd block/section, and start over, then go all the way to the end, repeating this over and over again. Matrix ...

60's/70's for me. I was born in 63. 80's also fits in there when it comes to synth/pop/other. But generally - 70's. It is hard to beat Aerosmith/Ted Nugent/Skynyrd/Allman Bro's band/Bob Seger/Johnny Winter/SVR/ZZTop/The Who/Deep Purple/Led Zeppelin/Elvis Costello/Kansas/Frampton/Paul McCartney and W...

Re: Complex-1 users
I would like Complex 1 more if I could patch from one Complex to another one on the front side. I think I could do some pretty cool stuff. I was prompted by some comments to try Complex 1 for the first time in a while. I dropped in an RPG-8, allowed it's default connections on the back, and tried th...

Re: EP (Deep House / Minimal) Profundidades: TRES
I do lovo your excusions in deep house. You are pretty good at it, you should delve more into the genre. Very good EP 8/10 iyam :D quarmat - I don't know if you have seen it, but he has a very extensive discography on his Soundcloud going back at least 5 years anyway. You ought check it out if you ...

Re: [TECHNO] RS Science Fair 150
Hey, I had one of those kits. So that is what I was supposed to do with that thing. I didn't know it was techno kit. I thought it was an electronics kit. Though I am not a big Techno fan, I sure heard my fair share of it in the extreme southwest U.S. - i.e., San Diego/Tijuana. Not bad I'd venture to...

Re: Challenges (Deephouse, melodic, jazzy, weird?)
You might have to start your own category - Super-funk Jazz! It sounds really REALLY REALLY funky!
It sounds like Herb Alpert jamming with ... help me out guys, I don't know what bass players sound like that. Oh, I know, deep Schulzz.

Electronic - Dance Of The Automata
Here is a new song of mine. Actually it is more like an experiment juxtaposing different time signatures against each other. It is pretty simple, yet not. It uses one instance each of Maia, Maia Matrix, Maia Orange in 3 different speeds in the sequencers. 1/4, 1/8, 1/16. https://soundcloud.com/chula...

Re: (synthwave) Shadow Of A Doubt
What is synthwave, and what time period was it? Who are some bands in this genre? I finally listened to this and it sounds great! It reminds me of maybe Duran-Duran or something like that, especially the vocals. I am not terribly knowledgeable about 80's pop- rock music, as I was far more into the 6...

Re: [Fusion] The Hong Kong Fridge Confidential
Instead of upping the volume, maybe try a parallel channel for the vocals with a nice bit of distortion and a boatload of compression, and mix that in with the actual vocal track. This is an often used trick to give the vocals more presence without making it louder. There are other tricks as well, ...

"I'm Bruce Dickinson and I gotta have more vibraphone" Vibraphones are fine. In this song, the vibraphones are the featured attraction. JMYOP But with the vocals, I noticed I can't make out the words. I noticed that when you are singing, the vibraphone often lands right on top of the words so I can'...

Re: Pop - Space Fish Romance Dance (unfinished)
Ok, I see what you mean. I am aiming more for late 70's/80's pop-rock/New Wave style, like the aforementioned, or the Cars. Or perhaps like some of your stuff, which I really like. My song is a metaphor for current events that are going on (probably since before WWII) that isn't so light. Once I put...

Re: Pop - Space Fish Romance Dance (unfinished)
Nice kawaii pop sounding track. It is worth developing! It needs a chorus and of course some vocals. I imagine something high pitched singing à la J-pop or hyperpop vocal chops. Hi! Thanks. I'm glad you think it is worth something! Yeah, I was thinking of a female voice, probably like Deborah Harry...

Wow, that bass in Colored Market is all over the place, but under the place, if you know what I mean. Reminds me of JPJ. John Paul Jones, so that is a complement. It is amazing you got that sound and feel from a Reason instrument. Suq Market - I've been to a suq before in The United Arab Emirates du...

Re: (Electronic, Electronic Rock) Mice in the Infinite Sky
That is a nice song. I really like how that bass near the middle comes out seemingly in a 3-D fashion to my ears without overwhelming me. Really cool! I am not a fan of Jean-Michel Jarre, as I haven't been much of a synthesizer fan in the past, but that is changing fast. So I couldn't tell you how i...

My stratocaster is going through a Kuassa Matchlock amp in Reason. This is normal for me, it's too much of a bother to set up a mic and record my Fender amp in my studio, even though the sound is magnificent. I adjusted the drums per your comments and they came out much better, thanks. jfrichard, I...

Re: Work in progress material / Test bits
The first bit makes me think of the Orcs in the cave in Lord of The Rings. Whatever part of the trilogy that was.
Now, if they come out with a sequel to that sequel, you may just have a job!
The 2nd and 4th parts I like. The third part was ok, but not my style. Trance music?

Re: Neptune - Can't Get Vocal Audio Out
I had read the manual... a while ago (4-5 months?). I don't usually use the mic, mostly the audio interface. So I had forgotten that the mic needs phantom power whereas the interface doesn't.
