Looks like a really good site and collection. Does anyone have any experience of using their 'Decent Sampler' VST2 within Reason?

Re: Life Generative Sequencer by Retouch Control

Right, I’m sure it’s good. Retouch Control are great. I’ve got all but 2 of their devices. I just don’t get what’s so good about this one. To me It sounds like Evolution or any number of other generative plugins. Can someone please tell me what’s brilliant about this one. I’m sure I’m missing somet...

Re: News from Noise Engineering: free REs, new/updated REs

I don't have a real answer for you at this time -- it's been a lot of work to get these three out! No worries, I'm gonna hold off buying the older units and hopefully next year you'll have something something better to take their place. I can't get on with the old UIs but absolutely love the new on...

@NoiseEng:

Out of interest, what are your future plans for these remaining 4 legacy devices on the Reason Shop? :)

Re: News from Noise Engineering: free REs, new/updated REs

Greetings! We're working on Bundle 2 for Reason -- it will be out as soon as we can do it. Softube is not currently on the roadmap. We're pretty much at capacity with our current list of things we have in the pipeline and just don't have the bandwidth to do everything! This is excellent news, Bundl...

Re: windows vs hackintosh?

Personally, I prefer macOS. But I would still choose Windows over a hackintosh. Like I said, it requires being skilful to get it to work. It's definitely possible and can be very, very stable (perhaps more so than Windows on the same box!). Apple's Intel machines just use standard stuff underneath ...

Re: windows vs hackintosh?

If you know what you're doing (or can find a prebuilt and customised one on eBay) then Hackintosh every time. In my humble opinion, OS X/macOS is simply a better engineered operating system and it can easily run more efficiently than Windows on the same machine if you've got the right hardware and a...

Hello! After few changes I decided to upload this version. I hate when I start to make different arrangements of the song to see which one is better and at the end all sounds the same (not good enough) 😁 This one is the latest (the shortest) version of my new track. Enjoy! https://youtu.be/7LGjIMjs...

Re: Needle Distortion by Dusty Devices

Needle is finally in the shop! It's a vinyl sound effect, but not your average type of vinyl sound effect. Needle actually simulates the behavior of a needle tracking a groove on a record. You can make it sound pristine or totally worn out. You can add different types of dust noises on the record. ...

Re: (Indietronica) Cosmic Order

Intresting melodic album, I didn´t listen to all tracks, but I will for sure, some of the tracks are more ambient, some more electronic ;) Intresting vocal, I have the feeling in some tracks the vocal is a bit low I mean a bit quiet, but still sounds great  Thanks for listening, I'm real...

Re: I see that native M1 support has been pushed out to some time in 2022

just get a Mac for music. It's worth it. If only you'd done that in the beginning you would have found a more stable Reason! In my experiences, over a decade since moving from Windows and ASIO, Core Audio has always proved more robust and resilient when dealing with demanding songs. Here's hoping R...

Would be great to have Sonic Charge Permut8 as a Rack Extension but would probably need a new more powerful version of the RE SDK before it could happen.

Virtual Drummer HOT

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZj1iYd7Vys Don't think this one sounds quite as essential as the other Virtual Drummers, especially DEEP and BRUTE. All the marketing materials talk about how much it pops but all of the sound examples I've heard sound a bit muffled to me. Haven't got round to trying...

Re: I see that native M1 support has been pushed out to some time in 2022

Interestingly I could have sworn Reason Studios had a blog entry up last week saying the MacBook M1 is the best computer to buy to use Reason with. Looks like they've pulled that post now; wonder if they realised it didn't look good saying that, given they're already 4 months overdue on the native M...

Solid structure and progression, nice work! I saw this RE nicely discounted during the end of summer sale and thought about grabbing it until I remembered I want to put more use into the REs I already have. You can't rule out those simpler synths. Being too the point can be really effective in gett...

Auto-Tune Reason is nice but it would be wonderful if Antares and Reason Studios ported Auto-Tune Pro to RE format too - those finer controls for the auto-tuning parameters would be great to have.
