That's a very expensive country, which makes it harder to survive off music. Good luck to you.
I googled what that means. So you are wrong.)
I live in Canada and have lived in South America. Comparatively, Canada is VERY expensive (i.e. it has a high cost of living).

Re: What's Happened To Songwriting

Four chord songs that cycle are hardly a modern phenomenon. I'm sure you can find hundreds of songs from the last 50 years that do this... and great ones too, including songs from the Beatles and Elton John.

Re: "I use Reason" reaction

Bitwig's browser is mindblowingly good and makes all the other DAWs I have used look antiquated. Bitwig is definitely the sum of its parts and is such a slick and modern feeling environment. It is essentially everything Reason isn't these days. You may not like things like a brilliant browser being...

Re: "I use Reason" reaction

I get that. I have not used Bitwig. I do use Reason, Logic, Live, and Protools. For me, Reason is where I find magic. Or as you would say the road. What features make Bitwig your choice? Some key things for me in Bitwig... 1) the browser is absolutely brilliant -- super fast, highly organizable 2) ...

Re: "I use Reason" reaction

I hear where you are coming from and fully get the advantages of workflow improvements in a professional environment, where you potentially have to put out constantly. Aswell on an amateur level it naturally makes things easier and also fun to work with. Then the question isn´t really about mere fu...

Re: "I use Reason" reaction

Trust me, I didn't want to have to go with Ableton Live 11 Suite - it's just that Reason 12 is unusable for me in its current state. And after 20+ years in Reason, I just wanted to mix things up and try something new. Live also integrates much better with my MPC Live II and Akai Force, so it was a ...

Re: "I use Reason" reaction

Yes, I know, workflow. Asking not about workflow in general helping to get things done. Asking about the new production level along any possible improvement in sound one could here in the final outcome. Like things not done before because of a lack in workflow. I don't know if there are necessarily...

Re: "I use Reason" reaction

I really can't stand using other DAWs, so I'm not interested in using the RRP at all (I only ever use other DAWs and the RRP when beta testing). That being said, I can't believe I'm actually shopping around, looking at other DAWs. Cakewalk has the best price (free) but Bitwig looks like the one I w...

Re: "I use Reason" reaction

You created an account on this forum and posted your first post just to say you don't want to go back to Reason. While I appreciate you opinion, I wonder why you would waste your time on a Reason forum if you aren't interested in using the software. And if I were to start using another DAW, I think...

Re: "I use Reason" reaction

Huge Reason fanboy here from many years back. I've spent 100s of hours in Reason and I've made a lot of music using it. I found that other DAWs were "not as fun" and "not as inspiring", but I was so frustrated by certain things in Reason I forced myself to learn something else. I decided on Bitwig a...
