Re: [EDM] - Dj Oxic Execee

A fun little tune... makes me think of wandering around a town as a tourist, looking for a club, but finding a bar playing this instead and spending the rest of the night getting drunk on shots and talking to the locals...

Re: (Breakbeat) Cruel Queen

Conceivably such girls might get a derogatory mention in a grime track, or perhaps bassline house suits them... greggs + vodka = ready for club.

Re: (Breakbeat) Cruel Queen

This has a stylish and airy feel. I like it. Makes me think of some model striding through Parisian streets with the camera following at leg level, showing her skirt swishing around.

I enjoyed this. Very cool. Made me think of robots cavorting around in a space station, having successfully overthrown their human masters.

Re: [sick twisted industrial techno] Rising Night Wave - Disgusting Life (WIP)

I like the rhythm/groove on this one, and there's some nice variation around 3:00-3:15 where you drum program a little with the non-bass elements and make that mutilated snare/clap sound brighter. I wanted to hear more of that personally. I think the murky/slimey undercurrent that permeates the whol...

Re: trance mixing failure (as usual)

Listening to this on headphones (cos I have no monitors at the moment), the mix sounds fine to me. I can read the kick loud and clear right in the centre of the stereo field. If anything, I find the other elements in the mix subdued. I think everybody would like to know how to mix better, and I'm co...

Re: [Black/Death Metal] Diabolica

I listened to the first track. Loved the intensity and the percussion in particular. I agree with quarmat's comment about the vocals. I'm a novice on mixing, but perhaps there's a way of giving the growl more definition by e.g. (i) making the rest of the mix duck subtly, (ii) carving out some freque...

Re: {ambient}softsquid

Intriguing at the beginning... I guess you wanted to keep it pared back and minimal, but weren't you tempted to build towards a climax? By e.g. moving the extreme panning into the centre, and bringing in some other percussive elements to accompany the lone hihats...
