Re: ES10 (beta) - Ekssperimental Sounds Studio

Looks interesting but from the video it seems like it isn’t an emulation, it just emulates the workflow. I like Ekss GUIs a lot but when it comes to classic gear I want it to sound close to the original. I saw on Facebook some videos of a TR606 style device, which I hope is close to the hardware. Y...

Re: Arturia Acid V

I just uploaded a sound comparison between all the big 4 over here if you want to check it out: https://youtu.be/QvkS8WXIARg Pro and cons IMO (that are not related to the sound of it) Pors: - Has a dedicated sub oscilator - Has extra modulations - Polymeric feature on the sequencer (very much like P...

Re: Reason ignoring folders and wav files

You are currently browsing for patches, so its filter those for you. See that rad banner at the top? just clear it by clicking the X on the right and you should see your files.
This is the default when you load a new rack, as it allows you to browse patches for the loaded rack.

Re: Roland SH101 as a rack?

Yeah, I suppose I can make a combinator preset for one my vsts, but was looking for a native rack. Its a shame we don't see many emulators as racks, I have always thought that Reason can be one of the best platform for that.

Roland SH101 as a rack?

What would you say is the closet rack to the Roland SH101in sound and look? I find the ES-01 to be the closest, but its not exactly the SH101.. I have many vst which are excellent emulations, but I was wondering if there is any specific rack for that. And if we are at it, also wondering if there are...

Re: Which Maia synth do you like best?

I picked the Orange version a year ago mainly because it is based on the Waldorf Microwave XTK. I've tried the other and didn't like the waves of those as much as I liked the ones on the Orange version but I guess it is more about personal taste, the synth engine is identical like EverybodyNeedsA303...

If you bought Reason today you wouldn’t need to buy 5 extra synths to get good sounds out of the box.
I'm second to that. The only exception I can think of is ABL3 if you are a fan of the TB303, as non of the stock synths get that true acid sound like the ABL3

This was unexpected

Never heard about this guy, and maybe it's just me, but it's not so often that I get to see a featured electronic artist that use nothing but Reason. And why wouldn't you if you think about it, Reason does provide everything we really need and more some :D

Re: Drum Sequencer is a couple of tracks short of useful

I have PolyStep, and just checked the manual and can’t find anything on “conditions” - is the feature you’re talking about called conditions or something else? I DID find a command to duplicate the current pattern into all four variations, so that helps speed up the process of using Variations for ...

Re: Drum Sequencer is a couple of tracks short of useful

No option to automate and sequence the patterns is a killer for me  Of course you can automate the patterns. Otherwise, what would be the use. It is not user-friendly, I give you that, and the fact that the user manual also gives no clue is a serious oversight. However, if you record e...

Re: Drum Sequencer is a couple of tracks short of useful

Propulsion is an alternative. Sixteen lanes, thirty two steps, lots of sequencing options. It's not a Player, but it's easy to patch. https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack-extension/propulsion-drum-sequencer/ I totally forgot I've purchased this long time ago and never really used it.. No option ...

Re: Drum Sequencer is a couple of tracks short of useful

Drum Sequencer coupled with the Umpf racks have so much potential to become the best drum/percussion units for my need only if they just get those needed updates... I keep going back to using Redrum for simplicity and efficiency of workflow, but still wishing it had some of those extra features Drum...

Re: Combinator as instrument

What would be nice - which I think you may be leaning into - is "sub-patches" for a particular combi patch. I would plus one this idea, or any other mechanism, that would decrease loading times for combinator patches - especially where the same devices are contained within it. That is not a bad ide...
