Yes, sorry if that was not clear but all the above is referred to the VST, V.3.You must be talking about Predator 2 or 3 VST, as PredatorRE doesn't have this afaics.

Re: Does Predator still have unique features
I have both the rack and vst, if I remember correctly I first got the rack and then asked to have a discount on the VST. First of all, if you are interested in this synth, I would say that the VST version is way way much more useable than the rack version. It has more space for the layout and there ...

Re: How will you know when you've acquired all the gear you need?
I also struggle with GAS – vsts and racks are the worst, just because it so easy to get them and they are virtual so I don't have a space problem and my girlfriend can't blame me for buying more stuff cause she can't see that I get those lol But you gotta reverse this question and instead of asking ...

[electronic] Reason BV-X Vocoder Demo song - created for Reason Studios
https://youtu.be/R-pdn5a-208 About a month ago I’ve been contacted by Reason Studios to try out the beta version of their new vocoder rack: BV-X and been asked to create a content for them to use in their social media accounts. A month later and I haven’t seen it published anywhere or heard back fro...

This is a great update to the Reasonstudios site!
Screen Shot 2022-05-15 at 11.38.00.png Not sure how new this is or if its already been mentioned here, but good to see that the previous usability issue with the cart icon acting as entry point to the shop has been replaced with a much more appropriate header menu with direct link to the shop and s...

Re: Reason Studios needs to release a statement on the future of the DAW.
Still related to shopping though. What else would the bag be for? Here’s the Shopify logo https://images.app.goo.gl/cL1cnwsQnK5PAwre6 What else is the bag for? The same thing that it is on the Apple store: your basket/bag. This icon on RS violates fundamental design principles. Look around on the w...

Re: Developing new racks vs updating the "old" ones
I get the backwards compatibility need, but how far does this need to be stretched and and is it worth the price of hindering innovation and progress? Ok, so it's cool to be able to open a Reason file from 20 years ago and that it will still work, but is it really a common case or an edge case that...

Re: Developing new racks vs updating the "old" ones
There are two problems with updating existing instruments and effects: 1. You need to maintain backwards compatibility with the old one so it can be tricky to implement. 2. It's harder to sell as a worthwhile thing when compared to a totally new instrument or effect that might take the same amount ...

Re: Developing new racks vs updating the "old" ones
Why should someone give an improvement for free or jsut a few bugs, when he/she could sell a new product for a bunch of money? I see a lot of examples where companies spit out synths and fx instead of just improve or expand an existing one. I'd love to have a few flagship fx/synths instead of limit...

Re: Developing new racks vs updating the "old" ones
My first reaction is for them to rather update the sequencer or add QOL improvements. But to address your question, perhaps it's because those legacy devices are coded a different way or something? Maybe to update the Subtractor/Kong you actually need to update Reason itself. When they updated Euro...

Developing new racks vs updating the "old" ones
I am guilty as charged to be the first one to jump in the air from excitement every time RS release a new toy, but I was wondering lately how come we don't get to see updates on previous racks? I mean Kong, Subtractor, Malström, Redrum All the effects and etc' etc' are all great racks. But there is ...

Full of hope and great ideas, I made one of my first Combinators for the community and a good cause, but digital technology decided otherwise. Note that you cannot go beyond 32 controls, 32 switches ... So beware of sprawling ideas although I can't find this DRM1 like this _ DRM1.jpg Unless ReasonS...

Re: Europa as a Sampler
But you still wouldn't use Europa as a sampler would you? it is essentially wavetable synth. I certainly wouldn't. I'd use the NN-XT or Mimic but ok, Europa can be altered to make it like a sampler and do cool things which is ok but I wouldn't use it as a sampler personally. Interesting video thoug...

Re: Subtractor has 10 octave range parameter....but...
Ah, funny.. never noticed that about Grain Curious for what purposes do you need the higher octaves? For drums/percussive elements I just use the mod/cv like Loque mentioned. I has a secret sound design process.  I knew it! So you are secretly working on music for dogs and other an...

Re: Subtractor has 10 octave range parameter....but...
Some times a company starts idealistic. Than they grow and need to save money for whatever reason and use cheaper parts... I just was wondering about the octave range when i made a 909 kick drum. It's like they think we do know what to do with a high number of octaves... And... Grain has tick marks...

Re: Drum Sequencer Player needs a way to drag midi like Redrum
Since you guys brought up Logic, the step sequencer in Logic is everything that I ever wanted the DS to evolve into. They really did a fine job with that one. I've even considered switching from Ableton Live to using Logic just because of that step sequencer! lol

Re: Drum Sequencer Needs 'Variations' like the Polystep Sequencer
If you don't need variations on ALL your drum parts, one workaround I've been playing around with lately is to couple DS with mDSQ from Lectric Panda. You can go up to 128 steps with full velocity control, slides and repeats per step. Only thing that is missing and I really wish could be added in th...
