Multiple touch screens in Windows 10/11 with Reason 12?
Does anyone have good experiences with Reason 12 on two or three multi-touch screens, with Windows 10 or 11?
Are you having trouble sending touch signals to secondary and tertiary monitors?
Do the Reason's controls work properly?
Thanks for sharing!

Re: Reason Studios Chord Sequencer in the shop
Would it be beneficial to have an additional option to make Chord Sequencer compatible with the Nashville Number System?

Re: Ideas for the next upgrade
According to this list: https://professionalcomposers.com/midi-cc-list/
you can control the volume (like many other parameters) with midi commands.
Just another way of interfacing with the user.
Velocity is a parameter with different results.

Ideas for the next upgrade
At the moment I'm analyzing and recreating parts of existing music with Reason (12.2.7d82), to learn from the composer. I'm using two 16:9 27" displays, both forced to 1920x1080 resolution for medical reasons. Left: Sequencer/Mixer window, right: Rack window. Just a few ideas to make the process a l...

Re: Reason Studios Chord Sequencer in the shop
Five minutes with it and i already have a nice chord progression I wouldn't have thought of. I don't always like the next suggestion/inversion, but find that if I also have a normal piano open, I can find the missing chord that makes it zing. This is the creative unblocker I've been looking for. Ex...

Improve Surface Pro 8 compatibility
During my holiday (thanks Greece!) I tried to find more info about using a compact platform for sketching images and music: the new Surface Pro 8. I get the most brilliant ideas at the edge of a swimming pool or on the beach. I discovered an educational video, actually demonstrating DAWs on the SP8,...

Pitch Edit v2
This morning I tested Melodyne 5 Studio, just before I was going to buy it as a companion to Reason 12. It has been disappointing experience, and I think I'm going to wait for a version 6 before I reconsider buying. What caught my eye the most in my first hours as a Melodyne user. Despite all beauti...

Re: Reason 12 Wishlist
- Copy/Paste EQ settings. - Reduce audio clip clone-by-mouse sensibility (I usually end up with a number of short clips in random places) - Crossfade = on, by default - Auto-crossfade between 2 audio tracks for easy switching - Auto-set loop range when double clicking to edit a clip (audio or midi) ...

Re: Sampling instruments
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. The video is an excellent example of AB recording this instrument. Great job! The AB distance that they have been using, sounds a little too restless to me (low notes left ch, high notes right ch). So I'm glad to have this knowledge now. Possibly the panning eff...

Re: Sampling instruments
Very good point! I've done narration a few years ago. Had to do that very early in the morning, without speaking to my spouse or drinking coffee. But because there is so much reverb in my own house I had to use a blacket over my head (don't tell anyone) and a battery powered LED so I was able to rea...

Re: Sampling instruments
Thanks for your reply Mathias. I'm actually trying to prevent my recording choices from causing a musical problem at a later stage. Owners of street organs who want to participate are rare - I suspect I have the best chance in a museum - so I probably only get 1 chance. And then of course I want to ...

Sampling instruments
What pitfalls should I avoid when sampling instruments? My SD702 recorder records in 24bit/192kHz but it only has 2 channels. So I have to make choices. I have two cardiod small diaphragm condensers, and two large diaphragm condensers that are switchable between cardiod and omni directional. All fou...

Re: Reason Studios shares their roadmap
Hi, this is my first post in here. As a hobbyist, I'm a Reason user since Neptune in v6/2011. I have the impression that some existing issues in v12 something to do with Reason+. It would be strange to keep perpetual license holders waiting for new features. For such an agreement, the users often wa...
