Re: i say goodby to you! Thank you!
I don't think we've crossed paths but you can't read a post like this and not speak up. I have no idea what it must be like but my thoughts are with you and like everyone else wish you the best My apologies if this is out of line, but since I feel “treacherous illness” also can mean something psychi...

Re: session singers (or any session musician actually)
I'd be really interested in trying this, I've been working on a track with my guitar teacher who really likes what I've done, but it really needs some vocals and quite frankly, I do not have a voice for it. I'm prepared to pay some money in as much hiring a studio for an afternoon isn't off the card...

might sound like a stupid question but if you've bought it (the RE) where do you get the vst?

Re: If Reason Studios went bankruput...
If reason announced they were going bankrupt, I would expect a communal outcry followed by a boycott for deviating from the roadmap

Re: notes
ooh thats a good shout thats what im looking for
dont laugh i just sometimes find if i do a fairly long length of improv, it's hard without notes to come back to it or even know what you were playing at the time (and the settings)
cheers!

notes
I mean the written notes kind, its unsual for me to be able to think of anything I need that I can't already do (even with a bit of work) but is there any way to take notes in reason? I'm recording a little bit of guitar and I am doing strumming backing with one audio channel with a lead with the sa...

session singers (or any session musician actually)
Firstly, I really am not sure if this is the right area to post, but I presume people aren't 'hardware' (or are they? ) It's a general question really, has or have any instrumentalists on here ever taken the plunge to hire a session singer (or a musician for something they don't cover themselv...

Re: Reason Studios appears to be silent
Haha I should have known. It was quite elaborate, i mistook it for being genuinely passionate about their software :D Easy mistake ;) I just despair a bit, they miss a (non-comittall) roadmap deadline - chaos they go quiet for a bit - chaos They fix a bug, but not the bug you wanted fixing - chaos W...

Re: Reason Studios appears to be silent
See I don't see it like that, they're telling you what you're knowing - even the email is more about what reason is rather than answering the question 'whats going on' Which I think was a polite 'I get your message but nah' Which gives me more a feel that they're being subtle but authoritative, when...

Re: Browser / patch search within reason
I have fixed it I think, quite novel and obvious but not obvious unless you know. I made a random guess the index might be corrupt so looked for it - C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Propellerhead Software\Reason\__ReasonIndex_v5.dat Renamed [__ReasonIndex_v5.dat] to [__ReasonIndex_v5.bak] (for bac...

Re: Browser / patch search within reason
I actually wanted to search for (or at least filter by) Maia patches (theres hundreds with pad in the name) I tried it anyway, getting rid of the orange bar with the maia filter off in case I was going senile - this time it completely failed to search for anything. For completeness I just tried a co...

Browser / patch search within reason
I am pretty sure this has been covered, but currently having a problem searching within reason for anything. You can type anything in and press enter and nothing happens https://i.postimg.cc/cCjK33zD/screeny.jpg No response or indication of activity, and obviously you never get results. I thought th...

Re: Any news on new stuff for reason?
It;s a good point and on that note sometimes it's nice to just take stock of what you have.
You know, spend an evening with a cosy coffee at the plugins included with reason that you've never paid much attention to or had it occur to you to use

Re: Any news on new stuff for reason?
You're never going to get an authoritative answer until a commercial decision is made to make the public aware. Only people who will know are the people directly involved, and they'll be contracted to confidentiality. Best you can ask for is a roadmap but this is at the firms discretion and a roadma...

Love the suggestions, agree with playing to get better, just want to keep it interesting and I'm already composing / writing with the guitar even though nothing complex

Re: One for the guitarists
even though I've work tomorrow I've had a play - you're right, i don't know why i focused on neptune, but polar works and tbh for a quick go you can just leave everything, enable transpose and just spin the wheel -12 and there you have it I presume there's probably a better, cleaner way of doing it,...

Re: One for the guitarists
as always, thanks so much for the responses! I think a larger guitar is out for two reasons - budget and reach due to length (the latter being more of a problem, I'm a small person haha) I'll have a look at Polar, would neptune in transpose mode do anything similar? It's not a plugin I've ever used ...

Re: One for the guitarists
Sorry for a late reply, it's all appreciated. I'm still loving the guitar. At the moment I've found my favourite play along - it's not going to float anyones boat on here I don't think but I love the energy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGikdBPJ4tU I also love the passive but blatant "if I want to...

Re: My journey with Reason+
Totally get why a lot of people prefer perpetual and tbh I'd probably go same route if I had a tonne of money sat about doing nothing, I would have to buy all the RE's if not all then most though as I do like being equipped, even though there are devices I barely if ever use. I wouldn't want to feel...

Re: My journey with Reason+
TBH I thought it would be sooner than that before subscription fees exceed perpetual, so whilst its clearly not to float everyones boat even as a crude calculation getting nearly a decade pretty good going. Regarding not been able to afford a month - been there, done that - what generally happens is...
