Re: Europa Relay now available on Patreon
Hi folks, Back in 2017 I decided to embark on a little endeavour called Fielding SoundWorks. It was going to be an outlet for me to release a series of soundbanks, each comprised of 150 patches and focused on one synth. I ended up releasing three FSW banks before I stopped - one of these was called...

Any idea why these are all free all of a sudden? Are they going to be removed from the shop soon?

Re: Who in the hell calls a GUI a "Gooey"?!
I don't really have no one to talk to about graphical user interface these days. And if I make one, I don't care what it is called. These days. User interfaces peaked in the 80s anyway, so don't worry if you've no one to talk to about them these days! https://tidbits.com/uploads/2018/05/Clas...

GUI is so last century. It's all about UI, UX or CX when talking about the graphical user interface these days

Re: UMPF Club Drums RE
Just a heads up if anyone else comes across this: Can't believe this never came up for me before but I've run into a bug when trying to use the direct outs on Club Drums. In a saved patch (come to think of it, I've only tried pre-set patches that it shipped with), any channel that's using the "COMP...

Re: Ability to turn off snap only whilst key is held down
I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on this. Using better touch tool on Mac (probably there are Windows equivalents), you can trigger a shortcut when you press a button down, but also trigger a shortcut when the key goes up again. This allows you to turn snap off whilst you press and ho...

Re: Any way to remove Showcase folder from the Browser?
I wonder if you could put a blank dummy file there instead Better than a blank file a custom favourites list file renamed to this might make this browser entry more useful. I put a blank dummy file there and then used Finder's 'Get Info' to Lock the file. That's removed it from the sidebar on my ma...

Re: Abandoned Rack Extensions
It just seems like a real missed opportunity to me. I'm sure it's something where Reason Studios could have done more to prevent licensing issues from depriving future musicians the ability to play with today's sounds and devices; especially if those devices are still stored on the RS servers somew...

Re: Abandoned Rack Extensions
I didn't use the phrase backwards compatibility though. I was talking about the future proofing of compatibility, although I agree that the removal of Line 6 did break that a little. I'm sure the original premise of REs was that it was supposed to be a centralised repository; which meant if you sha...

Re: Abandoned Rack Extensions
I think the point that Shoukz is trying to make here is that it's about the future proof of compatibility. The original premise of REs was that if you made a Reason song featuring Rack Extensions, you could share that song into the future with 100% reliability and if someone wants to gain compatibi...

Re: Abandoned Rack Extensions
how can you share a combinator preset that contain RE users can't bought anymore ? you can't, so RE are not futur proof. end of the discussion. If I make a patch with RE-2A and MrFigg has RE-2A, it will work. RE-2A will always work in Reason. Whether or not you can buy it has nothing to do with it ...

Re: New Rhodes Suitcase73 RE by Chris Griffin
Wow.... the "Matt's 8 layer Suitcase Rhodes" Refill was mine. I got a bunch of copyright free Rhodes samples from a CD on Computer Music magazine back in 2004 and laid them out in the NN-XT with full velocity mapping across the keyboard range. I also sent the Refill back to CM mag who then included...

Re: Selig B3/Leslie MkII Testing
For those of us who aren't on R12, is there any way you can release this new organ as a commercial RE too - or would that be far too much work? I guess I could, but it would have to be built from the ground up, but at least I have all the specific data about levels and rates etc… BUT - the original...

Re: Selig B3/Leslie MkII Testing
Why would you waste your aunties savings on R12? This one looks really interesting but as a reason 11 owner who's not interested in paying £199 for the upgrade to a bug ridden beta I guess I'm going to wait until later to test this one. So long as Reason standalone gets vst midi routing that ...

hello, @rootwheel: thanks for the response cheers, j Got this back from J Chris Griffin: A new build is uploaded that should help Reason 10 users. Re: New Rhodes Suitcase73 RE by Chris Griffin
This just appeared in the shop... https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack-extension/s73-electric-piano/ Kind of strange as I just picked up the Sampleson Suit73 VST a couple of days ago along with Reed200 and Model-T. Looks like the RE is sample based so I don't know how much space it takes up. I'v...

Re: New Reason Studios Device
You have some of the regroove on the RRP. Which is enough for me, actually. Perhaps some people need more flexibility with that in the RRP. But I can't imagine they would make a player for that and charge for it. What do you hate about the way it is now and how should they revamp the regroove mixer...

New Reason Studios Device?
So they released the 'exciting new creative Effect planned for release during April' as the BV-X as planned and a number of us successfully guessed it would be a vocoder. The next part of the blog post was this: New Device We plan to release several devices this year and our hypothesis is to have an...

Re: Which of your REs have you (pretty much) never used?
Softube Dynamite was used a lot for de-essing, and now i use Selig's de-esser. I used to use Softube Dynamite for de-essing but now I use FabFilter Pro-DS. I still use the Dynamite a lot but now for creating bolstering sounds - really squashing something so that it sits so well in the mix it can't ...

Re: (Alternative/Indie) Reason To Fan The Flames
The instrumentation, vocals and mix sound great. The only recommendation I'd have is focusing on having the chorus pop more. There aren't any dynamics between the verse and chorus. I feel like that could really raise the chorus up nicely. Other than that, I really liked this. Nice work! Thanks for ...
