Porridge for the kids at the Figg household for the rest of December in any case
Would that be the Porridge 8 made by Sequential Oatcakes? Very rare and messy synth that one

Re: All RS Rack Extensions are now in the Rewards Shop

Either way us lot in the U.K. are getting a very bad deal. If BLG is $64 I should be able to use 49 points not 64 and definitely not 75. That is pretty bad, if things were correctly adjusted Ukers could pick up Bassline Generator and Patter mutator for 98 points. James has done a great job trying t...

Re: I truly hate naming songs

It only bothers me when it’s time to go to print. When everyone wades in to tell you what they think. So I end up renaming things for release and then I can’t remember what’s what because I only remrr eh mover the working titles. I don't have to worry about that, all my songs are working titles :lo...

Re: REs that need a bit of love

FXpansion has some of the highest quality VST as well. As for RE, I didn't notice all my trials for these devices had reset (I wasted so many when I first got Reason) So I'm checking some of the stuff out with a new perspective. Use Etch Red as an effect on Tres and it gets real filthy real fast :l...

Re: REs that need a bit of love

Speaking of FXpansion, their channel comp can get all kinds of crunchy and nasty in colorful ways with the bias control. Great for bringing more character to drums and vocals. Yes, love the channel comp and the bus comp, in fact I have all of the REs by them..last release was back in 2015 so I gues...

Re: I truly hate naming songs

I just use the first thing that pops into my head as working titles with maybe a notice of what synth or effect I used most like say: Bassydownbeatparsec Then I will throw a rating on the end from 1-9 for how I'm feeling the idea could be worth working on again, this number will change each time I g...

REs that need a bit of love

Totally forgot I had Tres by FXpansion, gave it a cursory play around once or twice when it was released then new shiny toys appeared. I've just gave it a good going over and had a ton of fun, it is a great little mono monster

What forgotten RE have you rediscovered lately?

Re: how about a trance lead generator?

After just watching the livestream you can easily use the Bass Generator to create endless variations of patterns not just bass lines and with stacking and CVs create super complicated sequences.

Re: Are there good headphones for little money?

I have the 770s and though they are comfy I cannot wear them too long as I find them too tight on my head, gives me a headache after a while, anyone else find them a bit too 'squeezy' on their head? How many hours have you had them on your head ? Some headphones take a while to break in I think it ...

Windoze Upgrade?

It is becoming more and more obvious I can no longer run on Win7 with less and less compatibility with software but the idea of upgrading is daunting. I'm of the old school format drive/fresh install era but these days you can 'update' the OS without having to reinstall every bit of software again. ...

Already ordered the 250 Ohm, I was in the impression they are better sound-wise, but than I read about the loudness, etc.
I am still learning. A lot.
I have the 250 Ohm and they are quiet, you may well find them too quiet to work with without an amp.

Hey, out of curiousity, as an aside...Are you British or American or what? I'm just curious what the Bum in BumCuddle means. Big difference depending on where you're from. Bit like fanny... I'm UK based so it suggests the squeezing of buttocks whilst in a hug with your significant other...or anyone...

Re: Covid Shot and Reason

Wow. Wow. Thank you for that. That was one of my earliest favorite songs of all time, and I never thought to look for a video. I used to love those late-night revue-like TV shows as well, but I think I started watching a little too late for this one. I'd never heard of this group or song before and...

Yes I have seeing this came up once before and I set about using it as an example of how to synthesize a passable working version of almost anything you hear. https://benedictroffmarsh.com/2015/08/19/synthesizing-a-glass-armonica-making-you-own-patches/ :-) Oooh, this is great! Thanks
