Re: What are your open tickets which haven't been closed?
For obvious reasons, don't post any BETA related tickets. Just wondering if there are some issues or bugs that I haven't noticed with the current version of R11.. How many days have they been open for? Had a ticket open for over 2 years waiting for Reason Studios to remove REs I don't want from my ...

Re: What RE is your Go-to Pad machine?
ReSpire sounds amazing for pads.
Scenic has some ace pads.
Also, Europa is great too.

Re: Reason DRM is Infuriating!
Sync All is the only fix. You just have to delete any unwanted REs afterwards. A total pain but it's part of the ritual now everytime I buy a new RE!!! Bonkers really....

Re: Things that make you wonder what they were thinking
Why doesn't the sequencer pop up in the center of the screen or to the far right when click on the right button on the transport bar? This may be a small nuisance but it makes me wonder what the developers were thinking? Do I have some option checked that shouldn't? If you're talking about popping ...

Re: Old school sampling with lower bandwidths
The bit crushed sound is a sound of its own. It fizzes and whines. You can't eq it into being. The comparison is that a distortion pedal is effectively an unwanted blight upon the signal as is the bit crusher but it doesn't mean it doesn't sound good. It is a sound of its own. True. But its sound c...

Re: "The Reason Sound"
The Reason Sound is the sound of the default Redrum kits, default Dr. Rex loops, default Subtractor patches and the half-rack devices. Having said that, even with Reason 1.0, one could easily create something that didn't sound typically like Reason. Simply importing different user made samples into ...

Re: Old school sampling with lower bandwidths
Lol, That's like saying 'why use that distortion pedal when I can add some eq to the clean channel?' I don’t get the comparison - low sample rates affect frequency response, equivalent to filtering the sound (a filter is actually involved). So using one digital filter to emulate the effect of using...

Re: Maia v2 (paid update)
It looks like there has just been a major update to PinkNoise's 'Maia'. It's showing as a paid upgrade for existing owners of version 1, (priced at 19GBP for me as a UK customer). The new version features (among other things) 62 new oscillators and a heavily re-jigged step sequencer. https://www.re...

Re: Until April 11, upgrade A-list Guitarist to UJAM Virtual Guitarist ($19 per or $159 for the bundle including Carbon)
Yup. Legit. I bought stuff from them through Fast Spring. D. The offer is still open today, I checked. Can't make up my mind whether its worth it though if it's essentially same samples and functionality? Not sure if the offer is still available but if it is I would wait 'til they update the whole ...

Re: Old school sampling with lower bandwidths
In my experience, with judicious use of EQ and saturation, it's not difficult to recreate the warmth of these old digital boxes without the need to actually throw good bits and khz away in 2021...

Re: "The Reason Sound"
From time to time I see someone refer to "The Reason Sound". Lately, I've seen people poking fun at use of the term. Not-so-lately, I saw people discussing it as if it were a legit thing. Did such a thing ever exist? If so, what was it? Does it still? The term 'The Reason Sound' was coined by lazy,...

Re: Reason 12 Wishlist
Why does the height of the new tracks no longer automatically adjust to the vertical zoom level? And now I've noticed what has changed with the grid lines in the sequencer compared to R5. The three narrow lines are reduced (more often) to one when zooming and the bar numbering was adjusted. I must ...

Re: Thoughts about Soundiron Granny Piano ReFill?
I'm looking at grabbing this ReFill and curious if anybody here has it and what your thoughts are about it. The Kontakt version requires the full version of Kontakt, which I don't have, so it makes more sense for me to get the ReFill version. https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/product/granny-piano/...

Out of interest, I wonder what happens with this if you still run on Standard Definition monitors? Does it just use the original assets or does it use the new ones but scaled down?

Re: Alogoritm vibrato on modwheel
I had a play and found that the way to do it is have LFO and pitch in the left side and then in the scale section adjacent over on the right put the modwheel with a 100 scale. This then scales the LFO/pitch with the modwheel. Perfect! Thanks for your help... Sure, thats how you set it up in the Mat...

Re: Reason query
Well you have at least 3 choices, if you send the pattern to track your not using the matrix any more so either disconnect it or turn it off. you can also use pattern automation if you design multiple patterns across the bank. or just leave it to play when you hit either of the run buttons, the one...

Re: Alogoritm vibrato on modwheel
I’m not a huge synth guru either, but I think this is done using the matrix at the bottom. if I recall, you’d need to make a couple of entries there...one using the mod wheel as the source and an LFO depth as destination (should allow your mod wheel to scale the depth of the LFO), and another with ...

Alogoritm vibrato on modwheel
One of my favorite features of FM synths is how good vibrato always sounds on the modwheel. The DX7 factory patches included with PX7 are a great example of this. Unfortunately, none of the patches I'm trying out in Algoritm use the modwheel in this way. I'm not a particularly advanced synth user an...
