Re: Newbie Question - Midi Lane to Mixer Channel?
I don't know if this is correct for your particular drum machine/kit of choice, but in Redrum, you do this by flipping the rack around creating the required new mix channels, and patching them in by hand, from the operate outs per drum, you can then get rid of the device output mix channel. So doabl...

Volume - gain staging
Does anybody know, Is there a sweet spot volume for reason devices to work at their optimum? Some 3rd party plug ins like incoming volumes to be -18db average.
I cant find this information anywhere.
Thanks in advance

Re: I reviewed Reason+ and created a value distribution figure
Thats a great read, and well put together. I am left flat though, as everything seemingly points to ownership being obsolete, especially as I am a Mac user. Re: What would make you consider Reason+ sub?
Nothing for me, I panicked when I saw it and paid for the upgrade from 10 to 11. I love reason, it just simplifies music making for me, and I've owned it from version 2, but no way will I do this. Re: Mixing in mono: Can anyone help ?
Thank you for the responses. I am one of those that wants to know why things are done in the way they are? I can quite simply carry on as I am, and don't sweat it, as the Props say. The thing is, I am just a spare room producer, with no music engineering background, just like most people in the danc...

Mixing in mono: Can anyone help ?
This is a done to death, but never quite answered or the question is never asked in the right way..... Mono or stereo. I watch a lot of pro mixing engineers videos. (produce like a pro) and they seem to only mix using mono files, to create a stereo mix. Is this the better way to control stereo width...
