Re: Ableton Live 12

Okay just watched the MIDI tools video and I'm sold. Pre-ordered. Wouldn't normally do that for a DAW (or for anything in fact) but this looks like another case for just using RRP in Live without feeling like I'm missing out on lots of Player functionality. If you're regular Live user, why wouldn't...

Reason's Mimic stretch can hang with the best of them..
I think the stretching with serato sample is good but I think mimic's advanced algorithm sounds smoother. I wish they'd add slice by beat divisions. that would make it the best stock sampler out until bitwig updates theirs 🤣.

Re: What makes Reason a great “Idea Starter”?

I'm mainly in bitwig, and fl studio with the rack, but I hop in Reason when I feel like using it. I think the layout plays a big part. I feel like I can access my drums and assign them to slots in umpf faster than I can in fl or bitwig (and ableton). Also the fun factor, it makes me want to explore ...

Re: DAW Recommendations to host reason

[rackextension][/rackextension] Bitwig and the RRP is the best pairing of the rrp in my opinion. Routing multi outputs, using players, and recording midi from players is Extremely fast compared to studio one , fl studio, and ableton. I have those daws and never used the rack a lot with them, but wh...

Re: DAW Recommendations to host reason

[rackextension][/rackextension] For me, as my signature is saying, Bitwig complement the RRP awesomely well. They run together very well and bitwig bring the top modernity readon doesn't have (MPE, m1 support, regular enrichment of awesome features and crazy good modulation framework). And the vst p...

Re: Strokes sampler/sequencer update 3.9

So, since I bought a Howes tape off Bandcamp, I got a message from the artist, who's apparently also a designer of at least one VST: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvLasl_wois Looks a bit interesting in the ways it can arrange rhythms. Also if I hadn't gotten that tape I would not have any idea th...

I think most of the sounds were sourced from a Pink Noise refill.
That’s my understanding too. Pink Noise refills on the other hand are great.

I bought the wave version but only used it 4 times. I tried to make sounds with it, I but the layout doesn't inspire me. I think most of the sounds were sourced from a Pink Noise refill.

Re: Toggle rack front/rear button for stand alone

I know Reason RP has a flip rack button, but it would be really nice for the standalone version. I have been experimenting a lot with the cabling lately. And one on the Sequencer so I can see the back side of a wave file (just kidding)! I agree, I use the rack plugin a lot and when I'm in standalon...

I quite like drum sequencer especially the slide function, I just wish it had 16 lanes more timing and longer lengths. It would be cool if PM would let you record off grid as well ;)
I would pay for a drum seq update if it had 32 - 64 steps.
