Re: Don't know about you but...
Nah, it's just that they've all been fired and replaced by a positronic brain. It's a bit preoccupied at present but it will be along just as soon as it has become self-aware.

Re: Opinions on Bitwig
I'm in a similar boat except I just like to learn new tools and DAW's for fun. For whatever reason I trialed Bitwig and didn't like it, which I know sounds very vague so take it with a grain of salt, but I don't even recall why. With that said I'm an owner of FL and Logic, the only two other DAW's ...

Re: How to adjust MIDI knob sensitivity?
You probably want something with pots rather than encoders.
If you want lots of pot knobs then the Akai MIDIMix is a decent budget option. Some people find the knobs a bit "low profile" but I found them fine. You can change them for any standard "D-profile" fitting knob if you want.

and not the dystopian bag of shit we're being handed by 21st century corporate capitalism.... Alternative futures are available. Choose from: 1. Blade Runner - "Wake up, time to die!" 2. Demolition Man - "Be well" 3. Terminator 2 - Aw, you know the quotes from this one. And from all his other movies.

Re: Reason Studios 13 or 14 (Future Talk)
I think that adding a feature to Reason like Ableton Lives Clips would be a mistake. Ableton already does clips and there's a JammeR Loops Trigger Module that can do scene's and clips with Rex files that Reason already has available for purchase on the Rack Extension store. Well, there are two thin...

And, in turn, Melda are part of Image-Line, purveyors of Fl Studio.

Re: United Plugins Randomachine - Free for 3 days
You should ask for a refund.
It can work well on percussive sounds but it's easy to overdo it with the knobs and/or by trying to use all the effects at once. Dial in about 20% on one or two of the sections and you get a fairly subtle variation.

Re: Synthwave Dr. OctoRex drum refill?
I find the stock drums (even Loop Supply) to be very limited in variety, basically it all seems to be oriented to a particular kind of music (even the Pop collection is basically the same). Synthwave didn't exist back when Propellerhead put together those drums and loops. I think it was 1974 but I ...

Re: The best ways to learn Mixing and Mastering
I've never been a great mixer but my mixing improved hugely when I started carving large chunks out of each track with EQ. I do it with my ears and also with a spectrum analyser. You'll be surprised how much of each track you can get rid of without losing it's vibe. Sometimes they sound pretty weak ...

Didn't they skip May Madness last year? I seem to recall a spring sale and then no RS reductions in May although some other vendors did reduce stuff in May. Or I might be misremembering.

Here's the plan. Go buy 29 euros worth of beer. Drink it all. Now buy the RE anyway and blame the beer.
Oh, um, I seem to be talking you into it as well.
Maybe you should just buy it and be happy.

Re: Reason For Android
Thank you all for your answers and honesty. As for Reason Studios' upper management, there are approx. 3 Billion Android users vs. 1 Billion IOS users as of Q4 of 2023. Lots of those Android users are probably using phones that would not run any heavyweight app due to age or low spec. But RS seemin...

Re: Controller mod wheel rubber degrading
If it's just sticky try warm soapy water. Then try sticky label remover. Then, if you are feeling brave, try a solvent like acetone. I've had success with all these methods in the past. If it is falling apart contact Novation. They can supply common spares for their stuff and sometimes for really ol...

Re: I much prefer Reason to Ableton, but I really wish Reason could do this...
Someone will post the crappy workaround for this in Reason. The workaround does work but it's a bit, um, crappy.
They should rework MIDI recording to match the way audio recording works where you get multiple takes and can comp them together.
But they probably won't!

Watching yt video of this I felt, nah sounds plain. I dont need this, I have better :) Like I said, it's decent but not world beating. I followed the link and the instructions and I downloaded the synth and got the licence key via email - two days ago @ about 5pm UK time. I'm assuming they had to take the product down due to the server load but they are bound to put it back up again soon enough. Have patience - it is free after all...
