Is there a way to apply a separate bandpass filter to each repeat of delay or modulate a filter to give this effect?
Hello! I am hoping to replicate a setting that is available on a eurorack delay module, the 4MS Tapographic Delay. This module allows you to tap in your own delay rhythm, and uses the velocity information from your tapping to affect the delay in different ways. My favorite setting is the resonance s...

Re: Midi 2.0
Do you know a product on the market using 2.0? Hardware or software. Midi 2.0 is technically out on paper, but the tech isn't super integrated yet. As far as I can see The Roland A-88MKII is the only fully midi 2.0 compatible controller on the market. If anybody knows of any others, let me know tho...

Re: Are Parallel Channels Pre or Post Fader Copies?
If you want to make them post you can use a print bus in the middle. Totally. I have a really well built computer than can handle many instances of plugins, so I just copied the plugins and their settings and pasted them onto the parallel track that I had wanted to be post-fader, but you are correc...

Re: Are Parallel Channels Pre or Post Fader Copies?
It's pre fader, but not only that: It's "pre everything", because the parallel signal bypasses the entire channel strip, including the input gain! That last bit is SUPER SUPER SUPER important IMO - and BTW, it is the ONLY way to get access (via cables) to the direct output of an audio track from th...

Midi 2.0
Are y'all excited for midi 2.0? Instead of 127 steps, we'll have over 4 million! And it's 2-way. It'll be easier to make microtonal music, timing will be more accurate, it can read all of your hardware synthesizer's parameters and presets and display them onscreen, you can pitch bend each note indiv...

Are Parallel Channels Pre or Post Fader Copies?
Do parallel channels take the pre or the post fader signal from their source? And also if the source is a bus, does it take from the channels going into the bus or the bus itself? (like is it a copy of the bus itself or is it a copy of the raw audio from the bus?). I'm kind of thinking myself in cir...

Re: Pop - New instrumental
Great composition! I agree that the drums stand out a bit too much (in terms of how they are mixed, not the performance). I think that more reverb (there's already a small room verb on there isn't there, or am I just hearing the room you recorded them in?) would really help them gel with the rest of...

Re: giving up alcohol
I'm two years sober and I literally have never felt better in my life. Quitting was probably the hardest thing I've ever done, but once I got past the first 6 months I started feeling way better. It's important that you allow yourself to just be a vegetable at first, don't push yourself too hard and...

Re: Studio set-up - what is missing?
Also, make sure you get balanced cables to go between your interface and your monitors! Either XLR (like a microphone cable) or TRS (looks like a guitar cable except it has two black rings near the tip). You can also use cables that are trs on one end and xlr on the other. Unbalanced cables can caus...

Re: [Kyiv Pop/Rock] Blissful is he 2.0 REVISED VERSION (Cчастлив Он)
A lot of good advice has already been given, so I'll try to limit myself to avoid repeating what others have said: Have you tried putting a de-esser on the vocals? To me the sss's and sh's stick out a bit too much. Once they are lower in the mix they might not stand out as much though, so I would wa...

Re: (Synthwave) Spring Time On Fire
I like your kick sound, perfect balance between beef and attack. The textures of the synths you chose complement each other really nicely. I mix on adam audio A7Xs and have sennheiser hd280 pro headphones. Once I have a mix almost finished, I'll check it on my car speakers, on different people's pho...

Re: Automation won't record to its own lane when using midi controller
I just went through and tested all the instruments. Everything that has a mod wheel (even Kong) has this issue. I'm gonna go report it to Reason Studios.

Re: Automation won't record to its own lane when using midi controller
You are correct about "adjust alien clips to lane", I just tried it and it didn't work for the mod wheel data. I am now realizing that my midi controller has nothing to do with the problem, I tried recording automation directly from the soft synth and had the same issue. I also ran into a post from ...

Automation won't record to its own lane when using midi controller
Has anyone else had this problem in 11? I just wanted to record a simple mod wheel automation using my midi controller, so I created a lane for mod wheel automation, armed the track and recorded it, and the automation recorded on top of my midi track rather than in the automation lane. I know this h...
