Re: Promotion & Distribution Without Censorship

...but I'm not posting music for now. Is there any way for people to hear the music? So you are not posting music but you want to know how to let people hear your music? I suppose you could make some CDs, or tapes, or press some vinyl, or play live. Or you could post the music on one of the hundred...

Re: Promotion & Distribution Without Censorship

I don't believe you would have graduated either Harvard or MIT and not end up with the contacts you need to bring about your AI to the world. OTOH, there's something called SoundCloud and Bandcamp and you can distribute to all streaming platforms with various affordable distributors. I think this p...

Promotion & Distribution Without Censorship

Twitter, Reddit, and Facebook mods have banned me from social media, as do most mods. Meanwhile, I've been admitted to Harvard and MIT; studied composition and A.I.; graduated top of my class; spent some decades practicing and developing A.I. that assists with composing. In my opinion, it sounds gre...

Has VST-support ruined Reason?

There used to be arguments on Propellerhead's user-forum about whether Reason should support VST's. The consensus was (1) Reason will never support VST's, because Reason's CEO had once stated Reason would never support VST's, and (2) if Reason did start supporting VST's, it would be the ruin of Reas...

Re: Touchscreen laptop as controller for Reason?

You will need to stream the mouse and keyboard data between computers. Basically use one mouse and keyboard for both PC's Nonsense. You exhibit total misunderstanding of how OSC works, and you misrepresent what's demonstrated in Junkie XL's video in the original post. Remote Desktop has been around...

Re: Touchscreen laptop as controller for Reason?

"for iOS and Android" (but not Windows 10 touchscreen laptops) Thanks though. I know. I can read. I just thought it's wasteful to use one PC to only do touch control of other PC :) Instead of doing what I want to do with my own laptop, what do you suggest I do with the laptop while I'm using a DAW ...

Re: Touchscreen laptop as controller for Reason?

P.S. to my previous post: Well it turns out that Reaper's Web Interface gives me buttons to operate the transport, but no big faders, which is all I really want. So I'm almost back to square-one, but now I'm investigating this, which seems free and worthwhile (for DAW's that support OSC) I hope: htt...

Re: Touchscreen laptop as controller for Reason?

What documentation?? You just run Reason on a tablet PC (like Surface Pro, for example) or connect your desktop to touch screen. Windows and programs running in it work in touch out-of-the-box. In case of that video it's a special dedicated software layer that passes user-defined touch commands to ...

Re: Reason Studios has closed all of my tickets without solutions

My last two questions, they waited weeks to reply, then gave me bad answers. In the meantime, I'd already signed up here, asked the same questions, and gotten better answers. Sad to see Reason going downhill in this department. Of my four DAWS, it's the one with best manual, which matters a lot to m...

Re: Touchscreen laptop as controller for Reason?

Vst plugins that support multi-touch function in Reason with multi-touch. I have a couple of Cakewalk eq vsts that work fine this way. I don't know how many plugins are designed to do this. No. I already pointed out, my two computers have never heard of each other. No way will they figure out to ho...

Re: Touchscreen laptop as controller for Reason?

One gesture is a serious limitation, but one gesture would still be better than zero, which is what I feared. Do you know where I could find documentation? Watching Junkie XL's video now, I'm learning for the first time of OSC, and this would be my first time using any controller at all besides my ...

Re: Touchscreen laptop as controller for Reason?

I have that DAW too, but would rather use Reason if possible. You can use your touch screen but Reason only supports one gesture at a time, so basically you can control any knob / slider etc with the touch screen, but you can't move two things or more at the same time with the touch screen. One ges...

Touchscreen laptop as controller for Reason?

I realized that my touchscreen laptop would make a great DAW controller, and it's already paid for, unlike other controllers. But I've just browsed the Reason Operation Manual chapter on Remote, and I'm not seeing the support for touchscreen laptop I was hoping to find. It can't be impossible, since...

Re: Reason Rack Plugin opinions? Experience in Cubase or Studio One? RRP vs. ReWire?

I regularly ReWire Reason 10 into various DAW's. I have a low tolerance for cumbersome, but it hasn't been cumbersome for me. P.S. I guess it's a little cumbersome since I have to load a Reason project into Reason after Reason gets loaded into the master DAW, now that you mention it.

It does not have a limiter.

You can add a limiter on post setting in the rack right before the audio device output channels.

Does the Master Compressor include a limiter?

Here's one I sent Customer Support on Apr-17, but they have not replied: Reason 10. The manual tells me, "The Master Compressor can be applied pre or post Master Insert section". Suppose I apply the Master Compressor post Master Insert section. How then can I follow the Master Compressor with a limi...

Routing among components in channel strips and master section strip?

Sent to customer Apr-18, but still no reply, so hello. In the manual, I cannot find it fully explained how the signal is routed among the various components of a channel strip? I do see the Signal Path Section, but that leaves unspecified at what point the signal splits off to the send effects, and ...
