Re: What does the "Q" stand for?
I don't think any of these were thought like this. Who knows. I mentioned that, because most DAWs use number keys indeed, so seeing Reason using letters made me wonder. Also, that's how I remember which key does what, except for Q which I couldn't map to anything reasonable. But, from now on, "quiv...

Indeed! And I have the VST! And the RE! And I'm Polish (like D16 Group)!crimsonwarlock wrote: ↑21 Feb 2024Devastor2 comes close to what you describe here.

Would someone do a RE re-make of Live 12's ROAR?
Roar is an "unassuming" new audio FX in Live 12 (currently in public beta, to be released on March 5th, 2024). It's basically a saturation / distortion device, that can be configured as serial, parallel and multi-band, with each of the modules having its own transfer curve - chosen from quite a list...

Re: Any hiss or noise reduction tools in reason?
Nothing as far as I'm aware. There are REs you could use to lower the noise floor, but nothing that actually "denoises" in the way that (e.g.) iZotope RX does You mean like expanders? Yeah I guess that explains why I've never come across any. Is it a SDK limitation or something? I'm a little surpri...

What does the "Q" stand for?
EDIT: mods/admins, please move to General ...or I guess, The Kitchen. Thanks! Yeah, the title is confusing - on purpose  I mean the tool keyboard shortcuts: W - is for dra W E - is for E raser R - is for R azor T - is for mu T e Y - is for magnif Y So, what's Q for? No Q in "pointer", "...

But was it sharp then? If so, it would be enough to then adjust the scaling in the RRP itself.

Re: Reason 12 rack plugin resolution in Ableton
That didn't work unfortunately. I have the graphics scaled to 125% in Windows, as I am using a 1440p monitor and everything is too small otherwise. Reason standalone and every other application seems to cope with this fine, RRP doesn't it seems. But was that option ("Auto-Scale Plugin Window") avai...

Re: Way to bounce mix channels WITH sends/returns per channel?
Manually as in soloing each track and rendering the master [track count] times? If that is the case I have a question. May be a noob question. If you render one track at a time like this and the master has absolutely no effects activated on it, then the whole process will be completely transparent/...

Re: You know what the whole problem is nowadays about making music?
I don't know what the problem is in general, but FOR ME it's definitely too much flexibility and choice vs. limited time (on Earth, and also during the day). Every modern DAW nowadays - well, maybe except Reaper? - has enough: sounds, instruments, effects, tools and workflows that one can do almost ...

Re: Way to bounce mix channels WITH sends/returns per channel?
Yeah, sure. The same way one could say Reason has polyphonic audio pitch editing, because you can duplicate the audio clip to 2+ additional tracks and edit them separately. Or that it has transient detection sensitivity in slice mode, because one can manually remove or add transients. Or that it ha...

Re: How to recommend Reason Studios to your friend
So with the plugin version of Reason, is it completely impossible to get MIDI notes from a player into your 3rd party DAW sequencer? Or is there some sort of workaround, depending on which DAW you're using? Use the MIDI Out device and record the MIDI in your DAW of choice: https://youtu.be/9SR_qQDG...

I only suggested there was more than the "one available" you mentioned. We seem to now be on the same page? Yeah, sure. Re: Way to bounce mix channels WITH sends/returns per channel?
All approaches have trade offs. It's a matter of understanding them and being able to CHOOS the one you want/need. If there's only one available, there's no choosing :) Luckily all ARE available - some DAWs are quicker than others, but all options remain available. Not sure what limitation you may ...

Re: Way to bounce mix channels WITH sends/returns per channel?
If you're exporting inserts and sends per channel that means you're exporting the mix you did in reason right? At least inserts and sends. If so, what is the reason (no pun) to export the returns, instead of just sticking to this mix? Because, after couple of days and "fresh ears", you might want t...

Re: How to recommend Reason Studios to your friend
I guess best way to recommend Reason STUDIOS to a friend would be to send them a link to careers page: https://careers.reasonstudios.com/ How TF people are getting this wrong all the time?! I never heard anyone say "I use Steinberg GmBH" or "I make music with Image-Line". “Ableton” would like a wor...

Re: Midi out to several external instruments
Hey there, I'm using Reason as a VST within Ableton. I want the bass line, generated by the Bassline Generator, to align with the root notes of the ChordSequencer. This is simple through CV cable routing. However, I'm looking to send the MIDI data from the bass to a Kontakt instrument and the chord...
