Reason's UI has been getting more confusing over the years, and this update just adds to the confusion. I recently booted up Reason 4 and I almost forgot how much simpler it was back then. At this point, I'd just like to be able to disable most of what they've added since then.

Don't forget that all of their plugins are tied to Reason since they refuse to release VST versions. The difference is very slight. I notice it more when making pluck sounds. Maybe there is an envelope difference too?

Monotone's envelopes have always felt snappier to me than Thor's. I wouldn't be surprised if they glued Subtractor's envelopes to Thor's analog oscillator.

Making acid in Reason is like recording a band with Pro Tools. It's what the software was made for. They've shoehorned traditional DAW features into Reason over the years with varying degrees of success, but for me it will always be the ultimate techno studio.
