Would you mind saying what makes it so advanced ? I genuinely want to know because I’ve never used Reaper but hear bits and pieces of how much it’s versatile.

Make the End Marker loop back to the Start Marker everytime you reach the last pattern in the sequencer without having to manually set the End Marker.

If you forget to set the End Marker the song keeps playing forward through no patterns.

Reason Studios is clearly going towards a “Native Instruments’ Komplete” model. They are focusing on instruments rather than the DAW itself for the past 5 years. Reason's focus (both DAW proper and RRP) will always be to inspire playing with sound creation and mangling first and foremost.

In this case VST 3 should be a top priority since they are leaving many sounds behind and they’re not being on par with modern formats.
