So, ignore the ignition key warning if one isn’t connected. Then restart Reason. I would restart your Mac/PC too, then try again.

are you using the USB ignition key? If so, remove it and re-start Reason. I only use Reason on my Mac, so I have no real need for it. Besides, I had a problem getting Reason to find the key, so I just gave up. Make sure you restart your Mac too.

Power Chord note, try (using Staduim Rock patch) selecting C#1 from standard phrases, and for a sustained chord, try E1 from the same group. Both give nice sustained notes. I haven’t tried other patches, but it certainly works on this patch.

Muting an instrument/track can’t be recorded unless you decide to bounce it to an audio track(s) or export it as a song as an audio file.

Just a quick thing you could try-are you allowing Reason to auto-detect the Keystation? If so, disable/delete it and set it up again manually as [Other] MIDI controller.

Sorry everyone - I've tried everything to install this on my Mac - nothing doing. I've managed to find more bad news - it doesn't install on Windows systems either.
