Re: Poll: Rewards Points (*Reset: Please vote again)
I have used them, because I thought being called "Rewards" and encouraging me to spend money in the Prop Shop they must be a good deal. But afterwards, I immediately recognized that it was not a good deal at all and regretted it. I even asked for a refund, but none is allowed. Rewards are a trap!

Re: What video tutorials have helped you tremendously?
The best tutorial videos are the ones that include one of these phrases in the title like "one minute tips" or "two minute tips". I get frustrated with searching through 20 minutes of tutorial for the money shot. I don't need to know your name, or the name of your channel, or that I can follow you,...

Re: Will we ever get real-time audio slicing (lazy chopping) in reason?
Mreese80 is referring to how a sample is chopped up in the MPC environment. In Reason, the way to do what he describes involves recording a selection of audio, bouncing it down into a REX beat, and then bringing it into Kong's Nurse REX and setting the Chunk Trig points across multiple pads. What m...

Re: What video tutorials have helped you tremendously?
I don't think making big sounds is any different in Reason than any other DAW, so you could check out the Point Blank Music School's videos on tracks you like (either with the artist deconstruction, or the recreation from scratch). FACT Magazine's "How to Make a" series also seems up your alley. Pro...

Re: Deal of the Week
Considering I bought GQ-7 the day it released for full price, I would say yes. I need to stop buying things when they release :( Sales always make me cry. (I also bought Antidote and The Legend apart from any sales) Edit: actually I think GQ-7 was like $80 when it released, instead of $100 now. But ...

Re: Presonus Studio One
I bought Studio One for Melodyne and VST around the time of Reason 8, however, now that Reason has a pitch editor and VST I have not had much reason to use it. Reason's sequencer is fine for me, the only thing I really want is "score view" or "score editor" (like Nuendo has had for 15+ years). Hones...

Re: Poll: What would you like to see Props focus on going forward?
I did REs and Reason 11 Sequencer/Workflow. I like Propellerhead REs (I was reminded of this working with the PX7 last night) and it's nice if people can buy what they want and ignore what they don't, whereas stock devices you have no choice. I like the "idea" of updating stock devices, but having t...

Re: Reason & Maschine Workflows
Nice to see maschine users honestly. It's really nice build quality, honestly. All the features might scare people away, haha. I mean $250 isn't bad just for the pads, ignoring anything else. OTOH, thus why I'm getting it now. The full size one doesn't really offer me anything more, for a much bigg...

Re: Reason & Maschine Workflows
I use it within reason as a vst and route separate outs to mix channels in Reason. I do export separate pads to audio when I'm ready to arrange. Additionally, I use the retouch control for controlling Reason from the hardware. In the MK3 I have, is a matter of pressing two buttons to switch between...

Reason & Maschine Workflows
Hi all. I just got my first Maschine yesterday (Micro Mk3) and I've been playing around with it. I'm curious how people who primarily use Reason are using theirs? The workflow for sample chopping and beat building is fun and while none of the Maschine Groups are for genres I write in, I've had some ...

Re: difference between "reason sounds" and the "factory sound bank"?
Ok, after investigating, it looks like Reasons Sounds has some patches that are not in Factory Sounds (mostly combinators), but it seems impossible to tell which are new. They all have the same last modified date (when the refill was packed I assume), so new patches are mixed in with all the old ones.

Re: difference between "reason sounds" and the "factory sound bank"?
FSB is basically the old sound bank before Reason 9 including the original presets for all stock devices. The Reason sounds one has more updated patches. That would have been my initial assumption, but the FSB includes patches for Grain and Europa which did not appear until Reason 10. So it has cle...

difference between "reason sounds" and the "factory sound bank"?
Hi all--
I just upgraded to 10 (I haven't had time for music in a while, and was still on 8). I now have the FSB and the Reason Sounds Library, but they seem to have mostly the same patches. Is the only difference the organization of the patches, or does one contain patches the other doesn't?
