Not to dis' on Reason, but have you noticed the updates even since 4.5? It's insane. So many feature additions, so many bugfixes, it's cray cray.

AT 64 my Babyface pro is just over 4ms roundtrip. Expensive but worth it.

Ableton is a confusing mess imho. I think what you are looking for (based on what I've gathered) is something reliable that isn't Reason but can be used on OS(whatever) Am I wrong so far? If not.......... Consider Studio One if Not for Reason. It offers MANY things and though not bug-free, it's a go...

I dunno, but a good VGA card (fanless preferably) is a good idea regardless. It's asking for issues to place the VGA burden on a chip. May work for some but a dedicated card is best traditionally..........
