Re: (positive thread) The RS team deserves praise for the 10.3 performance update.

Is that the performance update enabled and disabled by the "Render audio using audio card buffer size" option? I disabled it after I read it has a detrimental effect on CV wiring.

Re: RE-2A VERSUS CA-2A

The only difference is that the RE-2A is a Rack Extension whereas the CA-2A is a VST. They should be running the same DSP from the Cakewalk devs under the hood far as I can tell.

Re: Whats A Good RE-2A Alternative?

You could try Analog Obsession's free LALA vst. Not sure how it stacks up against the RE-2A as I've never had a chance to use the RE myself.

Re: How Much Computer Do I Need?

Instead of asking for "i5" or "i7" prioritize clock speed. From what I understand Reason is one of the worst DAWs when it comes to multicore performance, especially when you make use of CV routing with the back of the rack. So if faced with a choice of more cores or more clock speed, pick the higher...

Re: That Spider Audio Splitter bug

Just ran some tests with the VMG-01 on the Spider Audio Splitter, Polymodular Audio Splitter, and Shelob Audio Bypass Splitter. All three introduce either no delay or multiples of 64 samples of delay depending on how many chains of cables you go through. The stock spider seems weirdly inconsistent. ...

Do the Blamsoft Polymodular splitters have less delay?
What about the Jiggery Pokery super-spiders?

Re: Looking for a beta tester

Ah, I just checked the forum today and saw this thread but I seems I'm too late.
If you want your RE tested on an midrange processor though, my stats are:
Reason 10
i5-7400, 3.00 Ghz, four cores.
8GB RAM.

I'm free all day until December 2nd

Re: J Chris Griffin’s SAW-1 Discovery Synthesizer Song Challenge

I hope a link to Metapop is okay. I'm not sure if it's possible to embed it. I'll make the effort to re-upload to Soundcloud if need be.

The Synths are SAW-1s.
The drums are one of the abstract Redrum kits.
