Re: Hardware vs Software
It’s 2023. Still weighing up the pros and cons. Has software caught up with hardware yet?

Re: Hardware vs Software
What about sampling reason into a hardware sampler? Would that make the quality better?

Re: Hardware vs Software
Also gotta love the limitations of hardware. When I’m on my Mac I’m constantly thinking about installing new plugins and finding new ways of doing stuff or checking emails. With hardware you have zero distractions and just focus on the music.

Re: Hardware vs Software
I’m thinking about getting a CS80, Jupiter 8, DX7, Linn 900, Synclavier and a Fairlight to start with. Then I’ll run it all through an SSL mixer. Would that sound fat?
Can I sync these synths with reason?

Re: Hardware vs Software
I'm not trolling, it's a real question. Can music produced on a laptop, really stand up next to true analogue audio run through a dedicated mixer? I'm putting this down to the way that Reason processes audio, it feels like the engine is limited in throughput. I use Beats by Dre headphones for most o...

Re: Hardware vs Software
In that case...as usual...dont blame the tools
I blame Reason. It sounds properly good on the Bose speakers in my bedroom, but in the club it sounds like a wet fart going off. I blame Reason because it's like low data right?

Re: Hardware vs Software
Yes but I want to burst out onto the scene!!! Make an impact, shake things up. I think I need some serious hardware to do this. I tried Reason but all my tracks flopped, no DJ would play them because they sounded so lame. What synth should I start with? Maybe a Mini Moog right? Or should I get and 8...

Hardware vs Software
Guys, I need your help. What is best, Hardware or Software? I'm looking to produce some banging Acid Techno and need to get that fat sound. What should I buy to help me?
