Re: Serato Sample 2.0 Stem Separation
The Serato stretch is probably the best one I've I come across.. Still haven't upgraded to Reason 12 yet so don't have Mimic. I don't use serato as much because no drag and drop in reason and that's a work flow killer for me.. it has to be something very specific for me to use it.. plus I do chops i...

Re: is music production for us ?
Maybe write around your vocals? As in, record the vocals with no music first and then Use that as a guide post.. maybe just use a click to make sure you're lining up with your tempo.. i used to do that when I was in a band.. it was easier for me to come up with a vocal melody first with a very rough...

Re: Am I the only one who doesn’t write, arrange, produce, mix, master in a specific order?
I used to do some mixing while writing and I sure as hell tried to make that method work but I just found that making mixing decisions really distracted from the creative aspect.. I will do basic LP/HP eq and if I need to side chain a kick and bass I'll do that as well but I try to keep it at a mini...

Sorry man.. that's horrible.. I will say I have a friend that had to have some surgery on this hand for carpal tunnel a few months back and he's just now getting his strength back.. things like this typically require just working on your hand and finger strength.. I'd image once you are healed enoug...

Re: New Solid State Master Bus compressor compared to Reasons version?
Master or Bus compressor? In the SSL there is a channel compressor and a master bus compressor in the, so if you’re saying “bus” you’re talking about the master compressor (originally the “Quad Bus Compressor” because the E and G series had a quad output). So just took a glance at their product des...

New Solid State Master Bus compressor compared to Reasons version?
SSL has been making some VSTs lately and was curious if anyone has compared their channel strip and Master Bus compressor VSTs to Reasons version of them.

Re: Using samples in commercial releases
I'll use one shots for sure and occasionally I'll use a loop for some kinda low volume background ambience.. there's a difference between relying on them and using them tastefully.. if I remember correctly FL/Fruity Loops started out as a loop-only DAW

Re: This is interesting.. Web based stem extraction tool.
I supose it is legal to extract the stem, as it perfectly legit to sample other ppl's songs, the issues begin if you want to monetize your work incorporating samples/stems coming from other people's work. well, that is exactly waht i wanted to ask. - since this post was mentioned here on RTF where ...

I know some plugins do this, ie iZotope RX and a few others now. But for anyone interested here's a web based stem extraction tool. https://www.lalal.ai/?fp_ref=hyperbits&utm_source=ONTRAPORT-email-broadcast&utm_medium=ONTRAPORT-email-broadcast&utm_term=All%3A+Actives+%28x+Main+Funnel%29&utm_content...

Re: Do you opt to use a VST Channel strip over instead of Reason SSL?
As far as multiband compressor, the multiband in Ozone is top notch.. it's super easy UI and display is awesome.. and multi band Mid and Sides as well..!! put this on a full kit drum bus and you see what I mean.. Top notch sounds fine, but 200€ for Ozone Standard is antisocial expensive for a regul...

Re: Do you opt to use a VST Channel strip over instead of Reason SSL?
I also using the ssl mixer more and more, it‘s quiet good, but for especial track eq filtering i use brainworx bx_digital v3 and RedRocks C1L1 for buss compression in the sends. Now i got HoRnets HA2A for drumcompression instead of discharged Re2a comp. At the master it‘s a big pleasure with Millen...

Question about CableGuys ShaperBox
For some reason I have a session going with a ShaperBox on a insert on a channel and every time I reopen the session the patch I'm using on the ShaperBox automatically goes to default patch.. I even saved it in a combi to see if that might fix it but still no dice..
Am I missing something here?

Re: Do you opt to use a VST Channel strip over instead of Reason SSL?
I still use the Reason mixer when in Reason. Lately I’ve been using the API mixer in LUNA, which is also one of my favorites (Both in hardware and in software). It’s just so quick and easy to use the SSL in Reason compared to plugins because all channels are visible like a real console (similar set...

Just wondering because I have a few Channel Strips but never really used them. So was just wondering if you do use them, why would you choose one over the native SSL..??

Re: DIVA users, What is the typical CPU load?
Built this PC about 7 years ago and I can load Diva and get some good stuff out of it but it 'is' the one synth I have to plan around because of how varied the patches can be on the CPU and whether I need to bounce to track to avoid that... more so than any other synth I have. I've seen similar res...
