Re: Scale detection from midi input player device
Soo.. Three years later.. is scale detection in an RE a thing yet? :D It's almost certainly an easy task to do from my current position, so if I get the time I might just make it as a new RE that does that and only that, and stick it out for free. Please do this! It doesn't have to be free t...

Re: Reason For Android
Best thing about reason compact was that it came with a free reason lite license, which is how I got my foot in the door with reason DAW.
I never even used reason compact, but my girlfriend had an iPhone so I had her download the app and give me the code.

Re: Reason 12.7.4 Release Notes
This particular bug in Europa created a problem in my mix; a track with Europe was suddenly louder, and I couldn’t figure out why my track sounded louder and harsh as I was close to finishing the mix. I had to redo the chain in that track to compensate for that and make other changes in the song al...

Re: Reason 12.7.4 Release Notes
That being said, they seem to have made a decision to focus on squashing every bug possible for the time being.
And I'm OK with that.
Hopefully they come hard with the sequencer/workflow stuff in R13.. But who knows.

Re: Reason 12.7.4 Release Notes
Has Reason basically been abandoned now workflow wise? just ridiculous now. We're half way through the third month of 2024 after a year of waiting for workflow additions. Workflow updates haven't been mentioned by reasonstudios since the very first roadmap back in 2021, and even then it was a dot p...

Reason 12.7.4 Release Notes
Updated Europa Shapeshifting Synthesizer - Fixed a bug where the level of the Dist effect in Europa was louder. Opening an old song with an instance of Europa (where Dist was used) in Reason 12.7.3 would result in a louder output from Europa compared to the output in 12.7.1 (and earlier versions) -...

Re: How to recommend Reason Studios to your friend
I recommended reason to my sister simply because it's what I use. So when she inevitably has questions about how to do this or that, I'll likely know the answer. It's also super easy to drag an instrument onto the sequencer and just start playing. No need to get into the weeds at all until after you...

Re: reason version 10
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I THINK you can buy a reason 12 license, then download reason 10 here:
https://www.reasonstudios.com/en/reason/updates
But I'm not 100 percent sure it will autherize if you didn't previously own that version.

Re: Any hiss or noise reduction tools in reason?
You mean like expanders? Yeah I guess that explains why I've never come across any. Is it a SDK limitation or something? I'm a little surprised there is nothing. Expanders are basically more sophisticated noise gates, so they'll only "remove" the noise from the signal gaps. There are some REs that ...

Re: Any hiss or noise reduction tools in reason?
Are there any hiss or noise reduction tools in reason? Workaround for now is to export into Audacity and use their noise reduction tool. There must be something in the reason ecosystem though right? Nothing as far as I'm aware. There are REs you could use to lower the noise floor, but nothing that ...

Any hiss or noise reduction tools in reason?
Are there any hiss or noise reduction tools in reason? I've been using ReaFIR but that doesn't seem to do hiss reduction if I don't have a section of just hiss to feed it first. And aside from that, an RE solution would be better anyway :reason:  Cheers! Edit: Workaround for now is to exp...

I think there needs to be an option to decouple "Load default sound in new devices" from "This also sets the default browsing location" in preferences.

Re: Default browser button folder option?
Thats the thing though. Specific devices just don't seem to be remembering. I have to navigate to the right folder every damn time. I've been doing it for yonks and finally decided to ask for help. Create a folder and put shortcuts to all of your favorite folders inside of it. Then save the folder ...

Re: Default browser button folder option?
Ok that didn't work. RE's are loading their default patches now, but if I then hit the browser button it still opens a random folder. ReGroove mixer just opened up my users>documets folder, not the patches folder. Yeah, it's not this. Simply navigate to the right folder and Reason will "remember it...

Oh snap that's the reason? Ticking that means I'm back to doing right click > reset device every time I load an RE. I guess I'll have to pick my poison. Thank you!

Default browser button folder option?
Ok I've been living with this for far too long now and I'm sure its user error so hopefully somebody here can help me. If I use the ReGroove mixer for example, and click the browse button, the browser opens but it doesn't open at the groove mixers folder. It will open at desktop. I'll then need to n...
