Re: How many racks do you work in?
... because I find horizontal scrolling in the rack a pain. In my setup, every instrument group that has its own specific rack, also goes into a bus-channel on the mixer. That bus-channel is also sitting at the top of the rack it belongs to, so I can jump to every specific rack directly from the bu...

Re: How many racks do you work in?
I like the idea of one rack per layer/instrument. I'll have to try that. Generally, I keep it to two racks because I find horizontal scrolling in the rack a pain. Are you aware you can Hold shift to scroll horizontally? I do that all the time in the sequencer but for whatever reason it never occurr...

Re: Anything can be an impulse response if you are brave enough.
Well, i wanted a playable instrument which is in tune. Which is quite difficult. I will give it a try at the weekend again. Maybe limiting the the note range inside a Combinator and exact mapping to the scale can do the trick...at least for 4 octaves... Maybe not quite what you mean but I've had go...

Re: Anyone else annoyed by this in Reason?
Oh man I do that ALL THE TIME but I never realized that clicking that space was why it was happening. I've just gotten used to quickly hitting ctrl+z when phantom bars pop up. The sequencer is a touch clunky and a revamp would be most welcome, but I don't find it limiting. It does its job well for t...

Re: Reason Studios Chord Sequencer in the shop
Why was the strum feature removed from the prototype? That would have been so much fun to use on a virtual guitar instrument or similar. You can put this player after it: https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack-extension/st100-strumming-machine/ Thanks. I actually own this player but have never got...

Event 2020 BAS v3, replacing my old Event 20/20 P (Made In California, purchased at Manny's). Silk domes FTY! Ayyy, you too hey? I've only had them for a couple days but I'm loving them so far. I was using REW to measure their response in my room and they were supprisingly fla...

Re: Nobody talks about studio monitors here. What are you guys listening on?
I actually don't use typical studio monitors. I switched to using a pair of Roland CM-30's years ago. I think I've had them for close to 15 years? I like the sound and the frequency response, which is fairly flat. There's EQ adjustment on them, which I leave flat. I'm very familiar with their sound...

Re: Latest Roadmap (June 3 2022)
To be honest there is not much one cannot do with reason. One can be as organic as they like. With all of the samplers included in the rack. Then there is friction it is incredibly expressive. Not to mention if one wants to truly be organic they can record audio tracks of their favorite instruments...

Re: Latest Roadmap (June 3 2022)
I've never had issue with reason before, even with version 12, but 12.2.6 is the buggiest version yet for me. I wouldn't complain if I knew they were working on it, but now they state that they're done fixing bugs. Reason is 100% still beta testing and fixing bugs. AFAIK, the only thing I can reall...

Nobody talks about studio monitors here. What are you guys listening on?
I recently found myself a pair of Event 2020 BAS v3 for super cheap and have found i enjoy working with them more than my expensive unity audio monitors.
In a similar vein I find my HD6XX far more useful/enjoyable than my higher priced srh1840s.
What's everyone listening on? Do you love them? Why?

Re: How to remove burning rubber smell from Beyerdynamic headphones??
Congratulations, and welcome to being old. You’ve just said almost exactly the same thing that was said about the music you love, and the music before that (that’s not music, it’s mumbling): that’s not singing, it’s talking (rap), that’s not singing, that’s screaming (rock), that’s not music, it’s ...

Re: Latest Roadmap (June 3 2022)
Unrelated to my previous post but i found it interesting that the opening paragraphs of the roadmap, where they're pledging their commitment to reason, were genre specific: "We are hard at work in making the Reason Rack the one stop shop for creative electronic music making, which means we continue ...

Re: Latest Roadmap (June 3 2022)
Damn man that really sucks. I don't say this in a 'well I don't have any problems' kinda way but this has been the most stable it's been for me in ages. Which I think highlights the disparity in performance between systems. I can only imagine how hard it is to code for all possible situations and c...

Re: Latest Roadmap (June 3 2022)
Reason Studios say: "Having fixed the issues in Reason 12..." This part bothers me. I've been with reason 12 since launch and was one of the lucky ones I guess because I didn't really see any performance issues. The hi-res graphics were inconsistent but that didn't concern me, because I don't care m...
