Re: Almost all my songs are audibly clipping, what am I missing?
Can we get a source on that supposed Albert Einstein quote in the video? I know he played violin and had an interest in the creation of electronically generated sounds from the time he was alive... but that quote is a bit too modern sounding where my skepticism got triggered.

I'm not sure about that plugin in a plugin idea. That just sounds like trouble. "Yo dawg, I heard you like plugins, so I put a plugin in your plugin so you can use your plugin in your plugin while you plugin."

Re: Reason's Multithreaded Environment
With audio processing you usually have pipelines with source --> FX1 --> FX2 --> FX3 --> summing mixer --> output The video you sent was pretty good and easy to understand. The relation between the CPU and DSP meter was definitely a highlight in that presentation. Although I know a bit about the ba...

Re: Reason's Multithreaded Environment
I have no information to add but I did wonder something similar, as I don't notice from performance metric any particular utilisation of any specific core during playback so it would appear some kind of threading is utilised? It's a good question as it's one way of taking advantage of modern hardwa...

Reason's Multithreaded Environment
Hello! This is a very technical question and maybe it goes to deep in the woods for this kind of forum but I ran across this stack overflow discussion and this is my question: How is Reason utilizing multiple threads? What is the design of its multithreaded support and would a muilticore processor r...

Re: About Improving Reason's Internal DAW
But if RS Inc. ever decided to improve the DAW, I say do something radically different and make something unique and very controversial. Maybe start with a hardware/groovebox sequencer paradigm and build on it from there. Would love to see a software version of the Yamaha RS7000 or a Roland grooveb...

i found a program called bottles, similar to crossover but its completely free and things are working a lot better Hey guys, thanks so much for keeping this thread going and giving your valuable feedback. :D. Re: Issue with Arturia VST Plugins
I wanted to go back here, for the record and make sure this is answered. The reason why I wasn't getting random oscillations, or apparently couldn't hear random oscillations is because I had the pulse width modulation turned down. When turning that knob up, the random oscillation applied to the filt...

Re: iZotope Neutron 3 external sidechain
This is a very weird situation I'm reading. I'm running Catalina on an older 2012 mac and it works fine using rytmik drum sidechained into neutron3 to dynamically bring the eq down. You are in Reason 11? because until version 10 it worked !!! stopped working in Reason 11 ... Yes I am on Reason 11.

Re: Why CV in Master Section? Best practices and reasons for it.
i can easily see myself using a RE like HAMU's Newtrol_8 and a midi controller like the AKAI MidiMix for tactile control over some mastering elements or perhaps for live performance. i think the options are there for flexibility and if you're into cv then you'll find more ways of using it but you a...

Re: Why CV in Master Section? Best practices and reasons for it.
I wouldn't use a Matrix pattern sequencer for pan or volume modulation. I guess the point is that before your "finished" you can use the cv for modulation, once your happy with it you can bounce to audio and remove any modulation, but I think quite a few don't bounce individual tracks just the fina...

Re: Why CV in Master Section? Best practices and reasons for it.
The Master Section, like the Mix Channels, is at its heart a Combinator. So it has the same stuff: four knobs, four buttons, four CV ins etc. Same code being efficiently used, perhaps? Can be used via programmer to control devices in the master section. What I may have to check the manual and read ...

Re: Why CV in Master Section? Best practices and reasons for it.
Think sine wave as bi polar cv signal controlling a pan control. Right, so if I put this into a matrix pattern sequencer I can get a sine wave pattern going left to right and back. But why would I want that in my master section? The assumption here is that in my master section, the sound I have goi...

Re: Why CV in Master Section? Best practices and reasons for it.
It's for lazy people who can't be bothered with working cv/automation into 'parts' instead. I'm not sure what you mean by "parts". Could you explain that some? When I think CV, I think pattern sequencer and I think change in movement over time so if there's some other detail I'm missing for p...

Why CV in Master Section? Best practices and reasons for it.
Hello Reasoners! I'm doing a deep dive into the master section in the hopes for a smoother, faster and precision oriented polish on the tunes I make. So far I see a good path forward. But I'm wondering, puzzled over the use of the CV inputs and the WHY of it. When I think about mastering, I think of...

There is also a similar problem with Analogue Lab V where the top left menu which includes Remote and Snapshot. Re: Issue with Arturia VST Plugins
Thanks, so this has been an issue for a couple weeks. As a consumer I'm going to traipse over to Arturia and start making noise, friendly noise, but noise all the same. The VC LFO seems to be a big issue to me and if they have pre consumer release tests involving DAW compatibility, they need to add...

Issue with Arturia VST Plugins
Hello, I have an issue with the Arturia VST plugins. And only Arturia VST plugins. Apparently after the update that I recently downloaded from their Arturia Software Center, it seemed to kind of break the UI in Reason a little. Not sure if this is a Reason issue or an Arturia issue. I have other VST...

Reason Remote Mapping with A25 Komplete Kontrol (or any of their controllers)
Hello! This question is submitted for those that understand midi codecs and the remote mapping system Reason has for external controllers. Re: Please Help. What is the least poweful new Macbook on market that can run reason 11 just fine?
Mac just costs a lot of money. If I was considering a new computer running Reason solely as a DAW, I'd just stick with a PC. Up your current specs or build a beast for half the price. Mac's are kinda like driving a Ferrari. Sure you get some extra performance, the hardware is good and their devices ...
