As much as i like Europa and Algoritm, none of the Reason synths top the VSTs for me.

Waves StudioRack now hosts any VST3
This is a great upgrade from Waves. The Rack gets third party support. So if you don't have things like Bluecat Patchwork already and want to get VST3 in Reason, here is a free answer. If you are not familiar with StudioRack it also does parallel splits and multiband processing. https://www.youtube....

Re: Europa Patches - Chillwave, Lo-Fi, Synthpop and Ambient
I noticed that I keep coming back to your Chill Nights patches. Fantastic job! The more congratulations because I have never been a fan of Europe, now I know that it is mainly due to not very inspiring factory presets. I am waiting for more! Thanks man! I'm currently building more patches and will ...

Re: VPS Avenger performance issues
Try turning off multi core threading if you haven’t yet. With that checked on my 2018 Mac mini 3.2ghz 6 core w/ 32gb of ram, certain synths with just basic patches will cause crackling in Reason, even with higher buffer settings. Once off the problem goes away.

Re: What are your top five devices at the moment?
1. DS Thorn - Combination of the best sounding and easiest to use synth. There is no other synth i get faster, more creative results from. It can go from super clean and modern to analog, dirty and lo fi sounding. 2. Parawave Rapid - The layer system, the granular and the effects are all superb. Thi...

Re: Multiband distortion using Scream4
Scream to me is colored and obvious, it wouldn't be my choice for these duties (on a master). Saturn generally speaking is much more subtle and does a better job enhancing a track / mix. Similar to an Exciter in ways. That said i think you have the right idea in using it in parallel to tuck it in mo...

Re: Arturia V collection crossgrade for pigment owners
I have all of the Arturia software. Works great in reason and is easy on CPU. Can anyone speak on how V Collection performs in Reason on an M1 system? On my 2015 MBP i7 , just 1 instance of Pigments would put Reason in a rear naked choke until it passed out. Same experience here.. Pigments buckles ...

Loads fine for me here in R12. I do remember having issues with TDR Nova not loading initially in R12. I got it to work, i just dont remember how . I think it was just another install and restarting my computer.

Re: Kilohearts Disperser - what's it for and how to best use it?
I own the ultimate bundle and as much as I love the workflow of multi pass, snap heap and the majority of their snap ins, Disperser may be my least favorite of them all. I haven’t ever found a use for it or a example that convinced me otherwise.

Re: filmscore libs
Ambient Drums Xpansion and Celluloid Beats are both good refills for this (both pretty old, but still fun). They are more on the percussive side but good for film type stuff. Both by Nucleus SoundLab. One synth outside Reason that is REALLY good for textural evolving drone type pads is DS Thorn. You...

Europa Patches - Chillwave, Lo-Fi, Synthpop and Ambient
Whats up everyone, here is a collection of patches I made for Europa and wanted to share with the community. 40 patches in the Chillwave, Ambient, Lo-Fi, Synthpop style. Keys and Pads with a few Basses sprinkled in. Excuse my poor playing in the video, i just whipped it up on the fly. It does requir...

Its very similar to Dune in the 8 layer, 3 voice per layer setup. Plus it has REALLY good effects like Dune. Maybe even better. And just to confirm you have seen it with its latest GUI? The original one was really bad. The new one i find really easy on the eyes. No I hadn't seen that - definitely l...

No problem! Are you much of a Dune 3 user? I feel like I have seen you post about it (maybe im wrong) If you like Dune, i highly recommend checking out Parawave Rapid if you haven’t. I’ve read a bit about Rapid, but it seems more along the lines of VPS Avenger (which I already have) instead of Dune...

Here is an enhanced version of the default skin i did if anyone is interested. I basically darkened everything (gave it more contrast), added some more color (red) and got rid of the wood grain :). Simple, but I find it easier to navigate with more definition. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1niO-u...

Re: The OB-E - New Synth by G-Force Out Tuesday 2/23
I couldn't find an init preset so it's hard to judge how hard it is to dial in a sound from scratch. I just bought it. You can click on either of these two buttons to get to an init patch. One for Mono, the other for Poly. https://i.imgur.com/uEMMKPx.png Unfortunately this does not work for the dem...

Just download the demo. I have a basic question, is there no way to initialize it? I cant seem to find anything.
Edit: Just saw that it was restricted to Alpha patches. Not a fan of that if thats the case.

Re: Blue Cat's PatchWork
Just tested. Both BlueCat Patchwork VST and Patchwork Instrument VST pass effects through them correctly. The only difference is when you drop the Instrument version in on the insert rack it doesn't auto route the cables like it does with the effect version. So if you are using that by accident, you...

Re: RC-20 - 80% Off - Pluginboutique
100% worth it at that price.. Outside of Toneboosters Reelbus 4, I find this one to the be the most flexible and easy to use for that lo-fi tape wobble sound. Some of the modules let you focus in on a frequency band which is nice. It would take a lot to set something up similar in Reason. Too much c...

Re: Arturia pigments update to 3.5
Just picked this up for $69. Because i had a few of their plugins (which i got all for free when they were offered) Arturia gave an additional $30 off and the Triad preset bundle. Initial impressions are its VERY easy to navigate and come up with usable sounds quick. Its up their with Europa on how ...
