All other DAWS handle this in a split second. Where as reason freezes for at least 10-30seconds while it is doing god knows what. Ok I figured out a bare bones way of doing this:


Logic - Synchronisation Settings -> add IAC Driver to destination -> check "clock".
Reason - Sync Mode -> Midi Clock


It works, but is basic, can only control through Logic, not vice versa. And audio is coming through Reason, not routed into Logic.

Now that Rewire has been killed... how do we sync Reason with other daws? In particular Logic Pro? I've tried IAC drive bus... logic pro virtual out... Ableton link.... The last straw was spending a bunch of cash on a new four core 2018 i7, purely so Reason will run... and having it perform the same if not worse.... Sad to see other producer...

Reason skips, stutters, stop, crashes, "computer is too slow" etc ever since VST's have been introduced. And is simply getting worse and worse, not better. I've been playing with buffering, threading, multi-core options... but nothing really saves the day. Only a full restart, and have no other apps...

I don't care what features are added. All Reason needs is a performance upgrade. It is SO SLOW and struggles to run just a handful of VST's that other DAW's eat up without hiccup. Even on latest hardware.
