Re: Reason Studios 13 or 14 (Future Talk)
I am surprised to hear most people do not use the session view in live as I start all my tracks in session before moving to arrangement later. Session view is great when creating ideas and jamming as the retrospective record adds new slots for each idea/take. Also find it easier to send info from r...

Re: Dawesome myth
What's the hook on this one? So far from what I see, it claims that you can drop an audio file in and have it become an "iris", which is supposedly somehow different than just loading a sample in a sampler or granular synth, but I really haven't seen anything yet that explains HOW that's different,...

Re: The Legend. VST or RE? Also, general wishes re VIs and POLY
If I recall correctly I had to send them a screenshot of the legend re in my account but it's been a long while since I did this. If you contact synapse support they will let you know what you need to provide as evidence. Okay, thx. I had a quick look after posting this and can see I sent synapse a...

Re: The Legend. VST or RE? Also, general wishes re VIs and POLY
Both, if you buy the RE you can request the VST from synapse but not the other way around. How does that work? What information do I have to send to them? If I recall correctly I had to send them a screenshot of the legend re in my account but it's been a long while since I did this. If you contact...

Re: Thinking of buying RoughRider RE, talk me out of it...
Trying to be helpful here but also appreciate I am failing miserably at the post title. I think you should buy it if you can afford it without it negatively impacting on your financial situation. You have mentioned twice above trying to recreate it with other comps but not getting quite there. Buy i...

Yeah retrospective record is great for people like me who have no musical training. Just jam away and keep the bits you like for further editing.PhillipOrdonez wrote: ↑11 Apr 2024Even better is how it records anything you play via midi without you ever hitting the record button. 🤯

Let's hope they get this fixed seeing as any new vsts will most likely be vst3 option only (no vst2)

Re: (minimalist ambient) Solar Operator
Nice piece of music quite emotional but with a dark cinematic vibe for me. i am quite taken by what i am going to call the "metallic scuttle bug sound" (influenced by the song art). It comes in at 18 seconds and makes me think of the bug scuttling around with a glitchy r2 d2 droid like vibe. I would...

Re: (House/Tech house ?) Sambal
Love it! Got my groove on! I like the bassline in the start with that ‘dancing’ lfo. That horn sound that comes is at 1:30 fits the mood very well. Played live or midi or some player/arp? This is a track Stephan Bodzin couldve made. In my book thats a compliment👍👍 Lovely percussion towards the end....

Re: (House/Tech house ?) Sambal
Lovely percussion riff. Really like the deep raspy synth. The vocals work great here and have been EQed well. Only comment I'd make is that around 1.35, when the vocal looping gets more complex for a few seconds, I'd let them briefly take more of a centre-stage. The track moves well and sounds grea...

Re: (House/Tech house ?) Sambal
Love to hear that you are consistent with releasing tracks. Definitely some tech house vibes. Nice chill drums. What stands out to me is the great choice of sounds. They all sound good together. The running mid bassy synth is cool. My favorite element is probably those reese bass notes. If I had to...

Thanks for the listen and positive wordsFrankJaeger wrote: ↑05 Apr 2024I was initially not fond of the first bass sound that came in, but was completely won over as the track progressed. Love the vibe on this.
And I agree that "always making tracks" (and experimenting) is the best way to learn.
