You can try this. I googled sending midi to an effect plug-in in Logic

Neptune/Voice Synth in Logic

Trying to figure out a way to get vocals/audio into Neptune, but ALSO use my MIDI keyboard to pitch-shift them live... I've found this makes for lovely background vocals, lol. Easy enough to do within Reason, but I can't seem to get Logic to control inserts with MIDI, so I am forced to use the Rack ...

Re: Loudness Wars - Logic vs Reason

This… in Logic I use one of its various metering tools to get the lufs to about -15 for the streaming sites (and peak dbfs at -1)… is there a way to do this in Reason 11? I have the mixing rack extension package that propllerhead sold w it years ago. I use the Youlean Loudness Meter VST as the fina...

Re: Are players useful with RRP?

Bro I'd love to buy a new mac and logic... unfortunately its just too expensive for me... I've always been a fan of apple products, but they make it prohibitively expensive. You don't need to buy a brand new Mac or the most powerful. I am still using a 2015 MacBook Air, 2.2 GHz i7, 8GB RAM, 512 GB ...

Re: Loudness Wars - Logic vs Reason

Peak level alone is not an accurate measure of loudness, for one. If you measure the peak vs average (crest factor) or LUFS, you will get a better indication of relative loudness between the two mixes. This… in Logic I use one of its various metering tools to get the lufs to about -15 for the strea...

Loudness Wars - Logic vs Reason

Here’s the deal. I follow the same audio recording strategy whether I’m in Reason or Logic… peak at -12dbfs, and hover between there and -18, pre-fader (in Logic at least 🤔), as best I can, then adjust everything to peak at -18 (again, pre-fader in Logic 🤔)… in Logic I do my mixdown, then just throw...

Re: Solo Reverbs?

Best method would be using the mixer 14:2 and patching like a real world scenario. the FX returns to a mixer channel. PS: If you use it in teh Reason´s master section make sure the FX return is going for a new MIx channel. But solo doesnt work that way. you always have to send the signal in pre fad...

Reason 11.4 Feature Request - MIDI Device selection

To be able to set which midi-device is controlling whichever instrument FROM the rack interface. It is ridiculous that I have to switch to the sequencer window to do this. Or am I ridiculous, because that functionality always existed and I missed it?

This was the first project I used Monotone and Rytmik... and Alligator on... was an exploration of automation in Reason (which Is a beautiful thing to say the least), and a little diversion from my vocal project. I put Reason down to explore Logic Pro, but I've since returned to Reason, as it really...

Re: Let's Rock (Drum and Bass) 174bpm

You got my head bouncing... love the vocal sample! I would consider doing away with the guitar AT THE BEGINNING, as it sounds grating without the rest of the instruments, which is a shame because it would make me skip what is otherwise a solid track. Enjoyed it!

Re: (Electronic Lullaby) - Lullaby

How much do you analyze your own listening environment? Are you a fan of using audio-visual tools to reinforce your ears? I don't really analyze these things too much to be honest. A friend of mine is totally in to analyzing his music room and how it responds to frequencies and stuff. I'm quite the...

sweet transitions! Mix is a lil' boxy... lower midrange (I think?)... nothing a lil mastering couldn't change, and agree it's crying for a vocal! even if you just throw in some adlibs "Let them eat cake... Let them eat cake..." it would add another dimension to it for sure

This was fun!! I do wish your claps had more presence though... I hear them clearly... but I don't 'feel' them, which is essential... to the point that If you were to remove them, the track might still bump  and just not be house any more. Keep it house! Great work.

Re: (Work in progress) - Any opinions are welcome

Normally speaking a track like this would need to be longer I think to build up to the manic energy level that it gets to, before dropping into the long break. The switches between the different parts are very abrupt which is part of your unique style, but in order for this track to 'flow' in the w...

Re: Solo Reverbs?

I've always struggled to make any sense of a reverb on its own. For one, you cannot hear the pre delay (if used) because it's related to the dry signal. For another, there is nothing to relate to what you are hearing since we have never ever heard just the reverb in real life. As for setting the in...

Solo Reverbs?

In Logic I just solo my AUX channels... and I can hear JUST the reverb... this is probably not the ideal method for mixing, but once I dial in the reverb settings, I do that to set the individual reverb levels of each track... is there a SIMPLE way to do this in Reason that I'm missing, which doesn'...

Re: What features does Reason DAW have that others don't?

the pointless "SSL" desk which recreates the limitations of an out-of-date piece of gear from decades ago, instead of innovating and making an original "Reason mixing desk". Honestly one of the most headscratching decisions by Reason in the last 10 years. Even Paul Frindle who designed the actual S...

Re: Instrument Sample Record Button

This is one of those key moments that define why I love and use Reason. While there are definitely exceptions to the rule, more often than not an issue like this can be solved in a very logical way - only want to record the left channel? rip out the right channel cable - to my brain it's so much mo...
