Re: Announcing Reason 13

I mean, it does seem like a step in the right general direction. A teeny, tinnyyyyyy, tiny step. I suppose I've grown accustomed to the rate of updates Reaper and Bitwig get. Sadly, Reason moves at a snails pace compared to those two, and Bitwig really has become what I always wanted Reason to be: ...

Re: Announcing Reason 13

On one side: true. Save the final judgement until 13 is out in the wild. And yes, maybe we get one or another small features afterwards. On the other hand: RS has a history of ignoring most simple and essential feature requests for decades. So everyone requesting basic features will most likely be ...

Re: Announcing Reason 13

Congrats on the upcoming release!

For me, personally, there's nothing here that makes me want to upgrade or use Reason as an actual DAW again. Bitwig's got me covered there, but it would be nice if the RRP got some updates (more ins/outs, 2x width, etc...)..

Re: RRP Request : 2x Width Option

What ? That plugin rack window is not resizable and it doesn't offer rack columns ? How could they released this product without this basic and necessary functionality ? It is "resizable" in the sense you can adjust zoom settings, however you are limited to just one rack column, which is a huge bum...

Re: Assuming there's going be one, what you think is coming in Reason 13?

What I think they will do Minimal UI/functionality updates for sequencer. A new Synth and maybe some Players. Add some dumb AI shit. Yeah, I'd say this is absolutely spot on. I've even lost hope that they'll add any additional functionality to the RRP (only 1x rack column and 4 inputs, really?).

Re: What makes Reason a great “Idea Starter”?

What makes Reason the tool you reach for when you are feeling musically creative? Or do you prefer some other tool instead? I'll admit I vastly prefer Bitwig for sheer fun/musical creativity. Bitwig really feels like what I wished Reason would become, and then some. I haven't used the Reason DAW it...

Ahhh well, I think I may be one of the most niche/fringe/oddball Reason users out there, so I'll just let this thread die a slow death like all the others I've started, hah! :puf_bigsmile:

Yeah, seqeunces is also very cool and with conditions, but somehow I always reach for Kompulsion first. Both are great. Sorry guy, I must say I do not need anything else then what I/we already have.
Hope someone will grant your wish.

Re: Elektron Style Player - Any Devs Interested?

What can't Kompulsion do that you would need? https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack-extension/kompulsion/ M Well, because Kompulsion has only one mod lane per track (aux), and it's a simple stepped sequence lane. I own it (and all Lectric Panda stuff) and it's amazing, just not for this purpose. ...

Re: Elektron Style Player - Any Devs Interested?

I'm not a Dev, but... Are you sure you are thinking of just a 'player'? Because there's not much difference between the sequencer of the Elektron and just the usual Drum Sequencer Player. To me, the real benefit with Elektron is the per-note automation - where things such as sample selection, pitch...

Re: SuperBooth 2023 - My top picks

Heck yeah! Particularly interested in Spectraphon and Zebra3 myself. Teenage Engineering... is a fascinating company to observe. I have zero interest in their products as they are so absurdly cost-prohibitive, but they do make aesthetically beautiful things and I am glad they exist.

Elektron Style Player - Any Devs Interested?

Hiya! Figured I'd post this question here. I'm NOT a programmer, but I think it would be really fun to work with a talented programmer to build an Elektron-style sequencer player of sorts to use in the Reason Rack. Any devs have any interest? This would be a passion project for me (something I'd wan...

Re: Objekt has arrived!

Picked up Objekt (as I knew I would, hah!) a couple days ago. This has to be my favorite Reason instrument in quite some time. Sounds FANTASTIC, has a very intuitive layout, has great depth of control but is still quite approachable.. Well done, Reason Studios!

Re: Elektron Style Player?

If sequencing is all you're after, robotic bean sequences gets you conditional trigs for note and gate. It does have CV outs but i haven't messed with them and don't think they do conditional trigs Sequences is indeed great (I own it and love it) but sadly it's fairly limited step CV wise and doesn...

Re: Elektron Style Player?

So I was actually inspired by the Digitakt to try make something similar - however I could only make a monophonic version. https://forum.reasontalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=7527921 I don't think a player device would suffice, rather it would need to be a multi-sampler quick access to different vari...

Elektron Style Player?

Hey all! This is something I've been musing about quite a bit recently. Would anyone (besides myself) be interested in an Elektron sequencer style player? I'm not even sure if such a thing is possible in the RE/player format, but I always come back to thinking that this would be absolutely PERFECT i...

Re: Announced Device: Chord player. What would you like to see?

I’d love to see a chord player for generative music, where you can define a set of chords and also set which are most likely to be chosen for the next chord (based on the current/previous chord). Outputs for root note and scale (to keep other players/instruments in key) would be a bonus. Yeah somet...

Reason Studios - Basic Utility REs

Hey all- My apologies if this belongs in the Feature Request forum, I just figured it might fit here. Anyways! Re: Elektron Syntakt

So I tried the Syntakt out for a bit. Undoubtedly powerful and incredibly well thought out, but it's really not for me and I ended up returning it. I've got a fair bit of modular/outboard synths + a million vst synths and I guess I just really like to get in there and tweak/make crazy patches from s...
