Re: Update on Reason 10.3 and VST performance
I'd rather have midi vst out than the performance fix in all honesty. I've never experienced any performance limitations of any kind in Reason despite the constant whining about it on this forum, but the lack of midi vst of is the sole reason i can't switch to Reason as my primary/only daw. Oof, OK...

My specs: 2012 Mac Pro / 10.13.6 / 3.33 GHz 6-Core / 32 GB RAM / Fireface UFX Without telling the sample rate and buffer size you're working at you are not giving much useful info on your setup. Completely fair point! :puf_bigsmile: Always running at 48k, buffer size at either 1024 or 2048.

Re: Really hanging for this Peformance Update
You mean that rock-solid RME he’s got? Highly doubt it. «Flying» is a bit optimistic, my specs are a lot better and still not good enough to write, mix and master a track using plenty of REs or VSTs. Eagerly awaiting the update. I'm sorry but I find that hard to believe. I have similar specs, a hug...

Re: Really hanging for this Peformance Update
I need it bad. It is very hard to finish any songs in Reason, even when bouncing all synths and samplers to audio. When near completion of a song in Reason, it always seems to be crapping itself to the point I can't play the song. It is very hard to mix a song when you tweak knobs only in hope it w...

Re: Utility Modules - 1st up MN Maths Mix, A-vert, Slew
That ACL Dual Delay looks dope, dang. I agree, having those filters built in would be slick. Anybody have experience with the 4ms VCA Matrix? I'm really interested in this one: https://www.modulargrid.net/img/imagecache/300x291_335.jpg https://www.modulargrid.net/e/4ms-company-vca-matrix I've also b...

Re: 6 new REs from Noise Engineering!!!
So it looks like I bought the three parts of synth bundle one individually when it came out (having trouble remembering) and it shows synth bundle one as not purchased for me in the prop shop. Does this disqualify me from getting a voucher? No big deal either way as I will certainly be picking up s...

Re: Individual input hardware mixer
Oh, gotcha! I see what ya mean. Yeah any multichannel audio interface will get you there and all the channels will show up individually in Reason. They won't be summed together before they hit your DAW as they would on a stereo output mixer type interface. Would you happen to know of an example tha...

Re: Individual input hardware mixer
Seems like any audio interface with at least 6 analog inputs should suit your needs, unless I'm misinterpreting your question? I use an RME UFX with both the analog/adat inputs.

Magneto does look really cool. I personally don't have any experience with it as I ended up going with the 4MS Dual Looping Delay (absolutely love it): https://www.modulargrid.net/img/modcache/5913.f.jpg There's a great Divkid video on it as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pf8FjudUIAo[/...

Re: Utility Modules - 1st up MN Maths Mix, A-vert, Slew
I really like them! They do work great with Reason (and Reaper, only two I've tried). I've been finding it fun to set up a bunch of templates with the ES-3/6/7. Made a really complicated quad MIDI controlled quantizer involving a few PSQs, lots of LFOs, randoms, etc... Right now I'm having fun with ...

Re: Utility Modules - 1st up MN Maths Mix, A-vert, Slew
I was wondering about developing an RE for this stuff, thinking an all in one solution would be best. I've looked at the options you mentioned above, and while they appear to cover the basics I still have to wonder if it would be better to have on RE that handles all conversion in one unit rather t...

Hah! Yeah the new case is much bigger, 9u 168hp. Built it with my dad a little while ago. Using the TipTop bus power which I am quite liking. I really like the look of those newer intellijel cases... can certainly see some of those in my future. This is my extremely tentative plan for the future of ...

Love my maths. Want... another... one.... Picked up a few things recently: intellijel shifty, intellijel quad vca, intellijel quadra + expander. All awesome... shifty is just absolutely brilliant. I'm working on a combinator to use in conjunction with my ES-3/ES-6 to emulate Verbos Electronics Scan ...

Voted for updated combinator and improved audio (and midi) editing. Proper freeze was a really close third.
EDIT: (this is also assuming that the VST performance coming up improves things GREATLY. Really hope it does.)

No problem! I think it's pretty new, yeah. Modulargrid lists it as the third newest of the expert sleepers offerings.
On a side note, two new modules! Pressure Points and an Intellijel Shifty. Woo!

Re: Got Eurorack? Show your Modular Grid!
(A bit off topic. Apologies). Is anyone using an Expert Sleepers ES-8 module in their Eurorack with Reason? I'm curious to know how well this works ......... or doesn't! I don't have experience with the ES-8 (just ES-6 + ES-3, which are great). There's a guy over at gearslutz who recently posted ab...
