Split off into separate vst instruments and effects and flooding the market with said devices because they are in financial difficulty and need to make some money fast, maybe with the special "reason vsts" that have the full interface in the rack.

People like myself aren't happy with the update and aren't upgrading, probably ever again.

Ableton doesn't have the same problem, lots of content creators Ableton has roughly twice the number of active users, and maybe that brings them past the vital tipping point. I think the number is much higher than that, they are teaching ableton at my son's school its pretty much the industry stand...

Unluckily, Reason only supports 32 faders in a combinator maximum so i could not map all of the parameters - just a select few (adsr/filters for both layers and main filter).

I'm not planning to upgrade until Reason allows VST hosting in Rack Mode. I don't use Reason standalone, but have it in Rack Mode in my DAW, Pro Tools. You are better off just using reason as a plugin within protools, and using protools' sequencer

Regarding the updates to the sequencer and the browser, just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should do it.

I bought it with widener, both together just make everything sound bigger and better. I'm using them on the master bus at the moment.

There is a step sequencer and a pattern recorder, two ways you can get notes into it. I'm loving it.

You can overwrite blank spaces to make an arrangement out of one block repeated, but recently i've just been using them for trying different ideas (changing key of the track etc.) and copy-pasting them in.
