Re: Reason Sale: Upgrade to 12, get all players for Free
Where is this half off code for Reason 12 users? I received it as an email yesterday at 12:01pm (eastern time). Maybe you need to be subscribed for promo offers to get it. I've been getting them for years. The email came with a promo code. I don't know if it's a generic code or account specific.

Re: Blue screen ugh
If you're comfortable with the BIOS and know how to select an alternate boot device, I recommend memtest86. You can put it onto a bootable USB thumb drive, or burn it to a CD. It runs standalone (does not require a hard drive), and it's something I run when I build a new PC before installing the OS....

Re: Recording Vocals - IMPOSSIBLE?
And importing audio into Reason takes about 10 seconds. If it were a workaround that was truly inconvenient with no benefits over recording directly into Reason, I would continue downloading and installing ASIO drivers until Reason recognized one of them. However, Audacity does allow me to edit pop...

Re: Guys what is the best cpu for reason?
The 3700x seems to be the sweet spot. Need more reviews/tests though. http://www.scanproaudio.info/2019/07/12/amd-ryzen-3600-3700x-3900x-dawbench-tested-3-is-it-the-magic-number/ I plan to wait a little bit before building an AMD system. It looks very promising, but I'm in no rush to be an early ado...

Re: Latency issue w/USB piano
Well, d'uh! Thanks, guys! I tried using the different ASIO drivers installed (ASIO4ALL, Focusrite ASIO, etc.) but the latency got worse so I went back to the original driver—DX Focusrite USB Audio—and started tinkering. Trust me, the DX driver is still adding a lot of latency. Once you have ...

Re: Latency issue w/USB piano
When you go into Reason "preferences", select the Audio tab. Could you describe the settings for: - Audio Card driver - Sample Rate - Buffer Size: For your reference, the settings should be set to something like: - ASIO Scarlett - 44,100 - 256 samples The buffer size should be set as low as possible...

Re: How is AMD Ryzen performing on 10.3?
It was mentioned earlier in this thread that working at low audio sample buffers on Ryzen doesn't perform as well as Intel. That's not to say you can't use Ryzen at low audio sample buffers - it's just that Intel will allow you to run more plugins at that same audio sample buffer. This was evident ...

Re: How is AMD Ryzen performing on 10.3?
The Ryzen processors work much better if the RAM memory is highly clocked. Also remember about the good motherboard on the new chipset. Then it should go without problems. I've been hearing rumours that 4000 Mhz DDR4 will be supported on 3rd gen Ryzen, and I've even seen some hints suggesting that ...

Re: How is AMD Ryzen performing on 10.3?
Thanks for the reply. Are you currently using Ryzen? What sort of buffer size are you able to achieve without issues?

Re: How is AMD Ryzen performing on 10.3?
And how do you expect us to know how Reason plays with CPUs to be announced in 2 weeks? ;) LOL... true. It's technically the same CPU as the previous generation with improvements. What I'm interested in are how things changed with 10.3. My 3770k was struggling more and more with each release of Rea...

Re: How is AMD Ryzen performing on 10.3?
Perhaps I should make it clearer that I'm not saying AMD processors will be bad or won't work well in Reason. It's just that Intels are a safer choice, IMO :) Intel has been the safer choice from a raw performance perspective since the code 2 duo. It's the reason I went with the 3770k six+ years ag...

How is AMD Ryzen performing on 10.3?
I plan on building a new PC later this year to replace my old Intel i7 3770k setup. I intend on switching camps and run a new AMD Ryzen CPU. I'm just wondering how these have been performing on the latest version of Reason 10.3.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I'm still hitting 100%. I tried clearing my browser data. Perhaps it's still cached somewhere else?
Thanks.

ReasonTalk home page causing 100% CPU in all browsers
I'm having issues with the Reason Talk home page causing 100% CPU usage. It's happening to me in both Chrome and Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. I even fired up Linux in a virtual machine and tested Firefox, and it gave me the same 100% usage result. The actual forum seems fine though. Could be a bad ...

Re: Players Challenge
I'm not really sure I fully understand this challenge. Is it a live song demo? AKA: build a bunch of sequenced instruments, map them using the remote override mapping, and trigger them to create a live performance? If yes, then I have to say it sounds pretty complex. I've never used the remote overr...

Re: New Europa "User Wave" Feature. Not Getting It.
I tried to recreate the Rooster example and it wasn't working either, but then I noticed that the original was using "-ENV1", not "ENV1". So I switched to (-)ENV1 and it worked like a charm. I also noticed that Europa sometimes struggles to figure out the pitch of some non-wavetable samples, and the...

Re: Reason 10.1 - no players, no FSB?
I'm not sure if you know this already, but you can't use Players as a standalone device. You have to add them to an already open instrument.
If you are looking for the new drum machine Player you have to get it from the Propellerhead store as if you were buying an Rack Extension.
