e.g. you would be able to change the tape speed while recording,
you could have more than one tape recorder and each tape could run on a different speed,
you could work like on an OP-1 ...
That's a nice feature indeed

Re: Steve Wozniac on subscription models

Not in 2015 they didn't... it might be different now but back then it was not clear to me that it was yearly paid monthly... they really did advertise it as "use it when you need it" back then. Wow, that's really a bad way to do things by Adobe, and I trust you, because I don't really like Adobe, I...

Re: Steve Wozniac on subscription models

Though I did have the Adobe Creative Cloud sub for a year as I also do a lot of work with graphics and art... it was the worst decision I had ever made. The advertisement said something like "use it when you need it... cancel anytime" except it wasn't really... if you wanted to cancel you had to pa...

Re: Horror music ideas?

You should try to make sounds that are disturbing on an subconscious level. For example, the stabbing violin theme in the movie Psycho was inspired by the sound of a prey animal being caught by a predator. This is something we all instinctively fear. This is what I wanted to say as well, first try ...

Re: Wavesfactory Cassette - It's Gorgeous

I think that is a completely different scenario. The OP-1 is a standalone piece of hardware that needs to generate or record audio while a plugin is usually made for a DAW that already can generate and record audio by itself. I guess what you propose is somewhere between cassette emulator and sampler?

Re: Better than Vocaloid?

Computer voices like Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant are pretty convincing. I'm not convinced by any of the singing plugins or Vocaloids I've heard so far. I can't speak for other voice emulation applications but I think the direction Vocaloid has taken has grown up in its own character, not tryin...

Re: REASON vs other DAWS

Hey, would love to hear your Touché experience if you decide to buy. I've been considering that and/or a breath controller too. I had a Touche SE around a year ago, I ended up selling it not because I couldn't use it with Reason but because it needed additional work due to the lack of software supp...

Cool, do you have some tutorials on YouTube I can see? By the way, I like the furniture of your studio, is that one of the output studio desks? Why yes it is! And sure. I’m in that stage of trying to reboot the channel and get my bearings straight on actually putting time into it. https://www.youtu...

Cool thread, I am starting to learn Blender these days and also some digital painting so I hope I can do some nice renderings soon as well.

I really like the renderings Reveal Sound has for Spire, there is even a thread here too

Re: Why is it so hard to create an audio track now?

The question is if the automated testing sees this as a bug, then surely the code isn't showing any errors, just a greyed out function that might not throw any errors so they didn't see it. Automated tests are great but they shouldn't completely replace some additional human tests

Re: the Reason sound was a lie

Yeah someone on a Reason Facebook page a few months ago said Reason sounds thin lol! I definitely think there was some truth in the Reason Sound though. It came IMHO from everything having to be done in the box with stock devices. Once Re's arrived in 2012 that started to change and then when VST's...

Re: Better than Vocaloid?

Yeah, I think the options you get on Vocaloid and PiaPro are huge and it depends on how much work you invest on it to get good results or not. I have barely done much yet with my piapro software as I am still saving money for the Megpoid Voice Bank, which is the one I like the most so far. I've also...

Re: What would YOU blow $300 on in your studio?

I think I would upgrade my Ableton Live copy to the Suite version or maybe get one vocaloid voice bank I am saving for. At least in my current situation, if we were talking about what would be my first purchase not having anything the answer would be a very different one of course

I guess it's about more than just basic compatibility when it comes to hardware. I don't have any issues connecting my ROLI Seaboard or my Native Instrument hardware devices with Reason but their compatibility is just basic, I can't make use of MPE with my Seaboard, which is actually what makes a Se...

Haven''t you thought some people might have fun by creating their own beats? Come on, don't be so pretentious  It's more the outrage that such a device would dare be in existence in the first place. It's like some people see a device like this and have an existential crisis of "oh heavens, but...
